Oh god I hope there will be a free or paid respec come release day because i f:ed up bad. Assault dropships are a damn joke, damn near impossible to get into a steady aim and i've been constantly flying dropships since january. The aiming is terrible, the camera keeps on reseting when aiming forcing you to constantly hold the right trigger or move the trigger forward and backwards to get a somewhat steady aim. I mean get this, shooting those big turrents are a pain and they aren't even moving, imagine a moving target.

There should be a militia assault dropship so that people don't need to spend a load of sp to get disappointed.

Why didn't they make the assault dropship have a gunner seat so someone could sit with you and shoot for you? I don't understand.

Most likely latter.

I expect respeccing to be available as an AUR purchase at some time in the future - or at least CCP will float the idea with the community. But that will take weeks, or more likely, months.

In the meantime, I'm afraid you'll have to learn to fly the new dropships, petition and plead for improvements, or start spending new SP on some other role :(

If they ever do something like this, they-¦ll lose respect from a NICHE playerbase that sustained them so far.

Choices have consequences, is people kittened up their spending, why should people that are investing little by little be penalized?

You've had the update for less than one day now, of course you're trash with the dropship.
Now you can keep crying for a respect, which won't happen anytime soon btw, or, you know, actually put some effort into getting good with what you specialized on.

Natu please calm your fanfemism down, if there had been a militia version of the ADS, there wouldn't have been an issue from me, but the fact that you have to spend a huge amount of SP just to TRY something out and not have an option to opt out it if it wasn't to ones liking doesn't seem right, especially since we are going out of beta 5/14 you'd think we would have the ability to try before buy. Oh well, whats done is done i guess. Will probably just have to HTFU and try to spend 4-5 months farming sp for something else..... You know what? Fck that

The core principle of the universe is the importance of consequences, and therefore, choices.

People from the beta won the lottery. The got a huge ammount of SP to spend, and spent it unwisely, besides all forum warning telling to go easy.

Do you need your weapon being prototype to get the feeling of it? No.
Can you spend very few SP to try out weapons? Yes. Less than a week cap. Not 4-5 months.

Respec means the positive reinforcement of bad choices. "Oh, i don-¦t like the ones i made, let me go back in time and do them again"

That-¦s the whole point of the game.

Imagine the Telltale game "The Walking Dead" with unlimited time to choose for an answer.

Sonic without the frantic music when the air is running out.

X-com without the death of your highly trained Colonel

The experience with/of the game is as much, or more important than the mechanics. Mechanics you can tweak, fix and do something here and there. Experience is what makes the difference between a "Meh" game and onde that is remembered for decades.
