There was more than enough information released on Uprising and the changes it would bring for everyone here to have been knowledgeable and prepared. Yes, there are bugs, and they are being corrected. As for needs, they are not unbearable and can actually be made into buffs if you actually skill strategically and adapt. Being lazy and ignorant is no excuse. This is a complicated, merciless universe. If this is already too much for you to handle, you are in for a rude awakening. Quit the whining, do some research, become educated, and post like it. That is all. |

How does reduced damage and range somehow magically make the gun better than it was?
Not joking. I'm serious. If there's some secret that actually makes the HMG a viable weapon, I'd love to know so I can point it out to the Heavies I can currently destroy while trying to suicide against them in a Scout suit.
You have to focus more on tactics and strategy now rather than just rushing out anywhere with all guns blazing. The HMG is still a very viable weapon, that I have seen many still slaughter with. Couple this with the reduced prices across the board, I think you will be just fine. |

The Robot Devil wrote:Blacknova, I enjoy your posts and respect your option. A buff may be an overstatement but I do agree that the nerfs are good for the game. The damage nerf to the HMG may need to be looked at but for the most part they are good. I think what the other post was trying to say is that the heavies have a more defined role and require teamwork, they can't stand on their own any more. Heavies, I think, will benefit from a more team focused play rather than lone wolfing. This is just my opinion but I do almost think that it is a buff, if not to heavies then to the team as a whole.
As a whole this is the idea. Everything is designed to have an advantage over everything else. There is not supposed to ever be an end-all be-all anything. New Eden is a VERY social universe. Teamwork, strategy, specialization and socialization are the ways to be successful here. As I said, there is always a way to adapt and we have been given more than enough tools to do so if we only try. |

I don't play Heavy. I hunt them. I run Shotgun Scout, and killing Heavies has always been a fun, but challenging pastime when they know what they're doing.
They're now little more than targets with broken toys. The "Shotgun Range" comments aren't a significant exaggeration, and assuming they only have a single tier of advantage, my Shotgun kills a Heavy faster than their HMG kills my Scout suit when they're in position to open fire first and I decide to go for a suicide charge.
Then they should have had support. If it was a bad spawn, well that is simply unfortunate. |
