Why were these not refunded? I can't afford the 3 million SP to spec back into the sever logistics. I main tanks.
The previous build cost 200k sp to spec into Sever Logistics.
These need to be refunded. |

These are now role-based suits which are a lot better than basic ones. They are worth spending SP into and are permanent :) I have raven and it rocks socks. |

Sure for someone who specs back into them, they are amazing.
I cant afford the 3 mil sp to spec back into it. or the 5 mil for dropsuit core upgrades. or the 10 mil+ for equipment/weaponry.
I run tanks. I do tank things.
It was a 200k sp investment when I bought it, now its millions and millions.
I need a refund on that. |

What he means is when we (not me of course, only a fool puts money into a beta) originally bought the suits, they were sold as a entry level, quick and easy unlock. Now people who bought more than one, or ANY if they main vehicles or Heavy, can no longer justify the now HUGE SP cost to unlock their property. They should be refunded because of false advertising. Imagine having bought more than just your 'sock rocking' Raven Assault and you'll begin to feel for them. |

Perfectly said sir. I used to run a 300k SP Logistics suit with a bunch of BPOs to make money for my tanks or when I didn't feel that a tank would turn the tide of the battle.
Now Ive got 20k aurum sunk into an item that I will NEVER be able to use again on this character. That isn't at all right. |

When they player market opens up that will get you a hefty chunk of change.
I'm not expecting that to fix your problems, but I hope it at least helps ease the pain. |

Altough we do have enough isk to buy hundreds of new suits of our racial choosing, the raven is a caldari assault one and it takes quite a hefty sp sink on it, i am going gallente now and i really would love a alternative to the raven if they arent reimbursing those who bought it with aurum. |

+1 on my side. But with little different reasoning behind it.
Wouldn't really mind that much, it was(is) beta and I considered that I could even loose all that AUR, but this seems half way done. Why reimbuse single run dropsuits, and at the same time leave people with relatively expensive BPO's that they won't use ... I would got my AUR back for the 'Neo' dropsuit but not for the 'Sever' BPO? It's basically the same thing.
-- EDIT
Cosgar wrote:They should have been downgraded to basic suits or have no skill requirement at all like the Dragonfly. I'm not sure if it's a good idea. This would make those available about 1,5M SP earlyer and even knowing I have one I think it would be broken. |

I agree with the refund. I'm not investing 3 million sp on a suit that I only used on the side. I'm the glorious Amarr, I refuse to downgrade to Minmatar scum. |

Interesting points all of you.
I have a Sever I got as a reward during Closed Beta. Now that reward is just another SP Sink From CCP (patent pend).
Either I spec into it and nothing else or choose what I want to do. Decisions, decisions. Yep, those things that I want to make myself and not have them forced on me by CCP. |

I would be happy all the following solutions (pick one):
-replace them with other racial variants of the players choice -remove skill requirements -replace them with aurum -replace them with isk (how much isk is aur worth?)
but currently I am not happy about it. |

TBH these should have been refunded considering the SP requirements. I do not like however the idea of reducing these to basic suits. Hopefully well see a refund on these as more options are made available.
I myself have all three and plan to keep them for eventual use. |

Yeah, this sucks. I'm Minmatar & would like to stay race specific in my gear, even though the stats & slots kinda suck now. Isn't that the point of having the different styles? Where's my Type II & Type B with increased shields & reduced armor for better mobility? If I'm Minmatar, why would I ever want to use another races armor? Suits should be like before, but your race determines your style/look. Or they could make it like DCUO, where you equip whatever you like & choose your style/look.
I too bought the Raven & now won't use, due to SP cost, for quite some time. Not to mention it's Caldari & I'm not. Hope they fix. |

I noticed that I was refunded my Primordial Assault LV1 BPO but not my Sever Logi LV1 BPO. I don't care that the Sever Logi BPO wasn't refunded but am wondering why it stayed and my Primordial disappeared? I realize that it is no longer on the market and was removed when the Raven was introduced but I question the reasoning behind this. I enjoyed the Redish colored assault suit and was hoping to maybe have the opportunity to use it this build. Oh well, thanks for the AUR to buy something else with. |

Jack McReady has the right of it.
I disagree with making them basic suits because that would definitely fall under pay to win in my mind. A free suit with no SP requirements on par with a tier 1 logi suit that costs 3m sp is not fair.
We'd accept a lot of solutions but as it stands now it is not okay. |

I too am not happy that the MAG legacy dropsuits were not refunded, but even less happy that they now have skill requirements that many will not want to spend.
I am using Gallente Assault Dropsuits because they fit in with my playstyle the best; to have to spec into Caldari Assault Dropsuits to use the Raven BPO I have is absolutely ridiculous.
At the very least, either the skill requirements for these suits need to be reduced, or there need to be equivalent suits for all the racial varieties (and we get to choose which one we get for that original BPO).
The current way it is cannot stand; too many lose out on what they expected and paid for. |

I am in the same boat as you and 100% AGREE. I really could use my 21k aurum ($10 USD) back since I can not use the suit anymore.
I can not use this suit anylonger like I could when I made the choice to spend real money on it and I made that choice based off of CCP's TOS and their public statments that I would be refunded any isk/aur items I can no longer use.

This would also be an acceptable solution, let us all use them regardless of what race we spec into. |

I went with Caldari medium suits, so I can use my Raven BPO, but I completely agree. Provide some form of refund option, then reintroduce basic BPO's with no skill requirements.
I was debating between going Caldari or Amarr, and the fact that my Raven was not refunded partially influenced my decision. Also, the fact that Amarr suits are not awesome armor tankers. |

Every single site and youtube video said that you shouldn't invest all your SP on day one I have no idea how investing all you SP in two separate dropsuit lines without picking any gun or upgrade skills seemed like a good way to go. Besides this clearly seems like an oversight on CCP side which should be waited out ... |

I agree. I feel cheated i bought all the bpo's on the marked, as you said it was cheap in SP to use and nice to use for isk farming.
Now i have some bpo suits I'm never going to use simply Because SP cost are ridiculously way to high now.

I went tanker this build, ( I know, I know, stop laughing at me just laugh with me ) anyway.
I had to put the SP breaks on quick when I started to make my Sever Logi ISK/SP fall back suit.
Holy SP sink CCP WTF
So during beta you sell me a bill of goods and now you want me to spend a year SP grinding just so I can in game afford this AUR item.
I know you are trying to prove the point that this is not a P2W game but WTF this is taking it a little to far don't you think?

Just reimburse/refund the Aurum on these suits for the people who actually paid for them. You said you'd be doing it for all non-event/PSN items in uprising. Many people got these suits off the market, not in an event - they should get their Aurum back (then they can rebuy them if needed).
If you got them free or as a promotion, getting Aurum back doesn't quite make sense. Thought it's not unlike those Quafe suits being proto-scout for whatever reason (very specific spec for a promo). |

I hear people saying this, however, at some point the supply of this BPO's will far outweigh the demand for them. I know multiple people that have bought many merc packs/etc... with this in mind (myself included) - however, by the time the player market opens up, how many newberries will be around to buy these low tier BPO suits vs veterans trying to sell them (or rather give away). If you're waiting for a market to sell the suits for ISK (hopefully the AUR to ISK conversion is pretty high, although I'd much rather get my AUR back). |
