I have played for a while. Today after the uprising update I thought I was playing a totally different game.
Graphical improvements, new skill tree look, starmap, load time, communications, squad formation from numerous places, and a few others all great. However there is a lot broken and plain useless things to:
Control and shooting mechanics are terrible now. Aiming directly at the enemy across the way hip fire or iron sights, not hitting the broad side of a barn...unless its a heavy.
AR range is nerfed so bad you have to be within say 20 feet to actually hit anything ( range level 5 WTF?). Damage dealt also seems to have taken a hit.
Skill point cost for effect is terrible.
To get a good logistics suit ( 3 equip slots) lvl 5 race medium suit then level 3-4 specialized logistics? Crazy amounts of SP needed.
Spawn system still bad, spawning you to an over run location just because the majority of the team is there, leaving you to die ( even with spawn cloaking) without even firing back resulting in a needless loss of suit, weapon, equipment, etc that could have potentially costed actual dollars and not ISK if your into aur items. ( This is one of the items listed as "improved" in the patch notes) Random spawn should be just that random, not were all the blue dots are ( that's what drop up links are for no?).
All in all I suppose the game can only get better.
I under stand CCP's vision, however console gaming and PC gaming are two different monsters. New gamer's are not going to want to have to play a game for months or years to get a skill to level 5 just to get a good "basic" suit, etc....
Weekly cap needs to be raised a whole lot more given new SP costs. If not above statement will become true resulting in a loss of gamer's interest due to the inability to actually skill, train, or do anything fun without spending months, years playing.
There will be an update before release I am almost certain. If not new gamer's starting with close to nothing and then experiencing all these things mentioned in this thread and above will be glad the game was free so they don't have to return it for a refund! Months and years to train skills due to SP caps = not console gamer friendly most will delete game, saved game data, etc same day as download bwahaha.
