This is honestly so fast I'm not quite sure if it's a bug or not. 4 ROUNDS FROM HIS ASSAULT RIFLE STRIPS AWAY ALL OF MY SHIELDS AND HEALTH. |

I played as Scout, like in Chromosome, and was having much more survivability with only 2.5m SP invested. Not sure if it's since no one is in protos, yet, or if it's the range nerf.

Yah, that happened to proto scouts in the last build when they went against officer/proto weapons. I was hoping that CCP would buff the suit. In 8v8 corp battles proto scout was worse than a type-II assault. |

I don't know about you, but I'm doing fine in Uprising with my standard level scout suits. Only put one shield extender in and I seem to be fairly good at surviving shots. Although you shouldn't be getting shot at all, you are supposed to be dodging all the fire with your runspeed!
But anyway, I'll wait a few weeks when people get used to the new mechanics to see how I fare up in battles then. |

Has it occurred to anyone yet that everything is working as intended?
A scout suit is faster, has better scan radius, and more profile dampening -- all benefits to a play-style involving moving without being seen. In the previous build, I learned quickly that despite logic and rationality, my enemies that were in scout dropsuits would not necessarily die faster than anyone else. In fact, most of the time, the targets that died the fastest were in assault suits. I also quickly noticed that many of the elite players (Hellstorm players especially) all ran around in prototype scout suits, with no apparent disadvantage to their shields and armor. They were by no means using a sneaking playstyle, but playing exactly how you would expect someone in an assault suit to play. They were essentially faster AND better armored, which I thought was essentially bull****.
So now, scout suits are weaker than they were before? Perfect. If you've got a really fast and agile run & gun playstyle then you've got choices -- faster and weaker, or slower and stronger. You don't get to be faster AND stronger. Choices like these are essential to an FPS with defined roles and contribute greatly to the dynamic of a well balanced game. |

Scan radius is nerfed in Uprising, all suits have 10m across the board. FYI. |

Well that sucks. I think scouts should have more. And if anyone who disagrees needs further info, seek the definition of the word "scout." |

Haha well I never had a problem with the logis protos. Maybe it was just due the random circumstances I was in. |

They were running around in fried squid logi suits? 
Oh, and considering a militia assault rifle does 31 damage per bullet, multiply that by 7 shots, and you get the approximate standard health of a scout suit. Seven shots, four shots, it's common sense. You're not supposed to be able to take shots without dying. >:( |
