Thanks for the input guys. This is our first time exposing an entirely overhauled skill tree to you guys, and we really appreciate your feedback and patience when it comes to discovering these unexpected issues.
I've tracked down the source of the problem and have a fix in place for skills that weren't applying their appropriate bonuses. Don't let this affect your skill choice. We'll get you guys sorted out so you can get your justly deserved bonuses :)
Re - MARAUDER TANKS: I can see us re-introducing them within the next 6 months. We need to have to have a hard think about how we can find a role for them in game that doesn't displace so many other vehicle and infantry roles. Anmol, please feel free to start another discussion thread on this if you want to follow it up, but let's keep this one for the vehicle core skills. |

This^^^ except on my main character and a complete skilling of vehicle engendering (to LV5) and if the fix to this problem is going to be to change the passive skill bonus of vehicle engendering from a 5% in crease to vehicle PG out put to a 5% reduction to the CPU consumption of powergrid expansion units, then I don't even want to drive tanks at all, or any other vehicle for that mater, and would like a complete refund of the seven million SP I unwittingly dumped in to vehicles on good faith. |

im just saying ide be nice if for once in dust 514 my 11 mill sp in tanks and my havs that start at 700 k could handle one av but no tanking used to be 50% running now it is either run 100 % of the time from every av you see other than swarm or post snipe /miss all day put away and afk i dont get how balanced it is that i has to drop 11 mill sp just to grab stnd gear pay 10x more than any suit on my stnd fitting and get scrubbed by every av who has even a little sp allocated toward av (which most people dont do why when we has free unskilled grenades that do just fine. a av grenade show be a detterent toward havs it should do serious damage to lavs ...detering damage to have everything ive been hit with in uprising with the only excepton being plain av nade and militia swarm has done enough damage to my gunlogi to put me at halfs hp with no res. and put me in oh **** mode wanna kill a hav call a dropship they are helpless against those or specialize forge they are helpless against those or grab av nades the are helpless against those or grab mines fluxes this game has a thousand way to kill vehicles and vehicles have a thousand gimmick wrong with them to make it just that much easier. if we get another repec logi 14 will have no havs period i have been running havs for over a year i have friends who have been doing the same we have reported bugs and been ignored for over a year. even if you fix the glitchy ass turrent it makes no difference havs suck why would i add my character to my corps faction ,cb,or pc when any other specialization would be more helpfull as havs are useless. can you give everyone who wasted their time testing ur vehicles a respec lol its gunna be really boring afking |

Also have you found a fix for the Vehicle Armor Plating skill, it is not giving a reduction to power grid use of armor plates like it says it does. I mentioned this in the OP, not sure if I mentioned the skill by name but I did refer to it. |

i am a tanker as well and the missing bonus from the engineering and armor plate skills is definately hurting my tank but its nothing to flip about or accuse ccp of being money hungry over(money is just a small shortcut on here not some huge advantage like many other free to play games) especially with all the ISK from the refund.... ive been able to pay for tons of tanks and only got about 50m back |

Something else I noticed was that assault dropships are supposed to gain resistance bonuses based on your level into them but when viewing the vehicle stats my logi dropship (which has identical low slot layout as my assault dropship) is exactly the same as my assault dropship. So either the bonus is broken or the vehicle stat readout is. |

In a competitive game, this error decreases all tankers SP (output from matches and playtime) and in most cases ISK too. More than a fix is required. It is called ethics. As I have been given an unfair, broken experience in a game I and many others have put a lot into. |

A few things:
-Only one of the impacted skills is listed as a currently-known bug.
-Even that doesn't have full clarification of whether they consider it a display bug (incorrect text) or a functionality bug (incorrect bonus), and there's a strong suggestion that it's the former, and the "fix" will be to change the text so it says what the skill already does (not what we bought it for).
-Regardless of whether this is fixed properly or just has the description changed, players who invested in the skill NEED ALL OUR VEHICLE SKILLS REFUNDED. Some people have invested too far into things we can't use, or can't use at the current level, even if the skill is fixed, because we had partial investment before testing the skill to confirm it wasn't working, and some of us invested in other skills to make up what we thought were shortfalls after training the non-functional skill. If the skills are changed, that alters the entire dynamic of vehicles, and we need the option to re-skill into different aspects of vehicle operation or to change our role. |

well you say "dont run them" but you do realize that us tankers are very out matched to other players when we are on foot right. we tankers spend our SP on vehicle upgrades to make our tanks more beefed up while infantry players are making spending to make sure their guns do the job quick and fast. we got nothing on them so its a BIG deal! |

They fix the need dropsuit shield/armor skills for vehicles but in the process of this it ate my sp i max out the shield skill before the hot fix and now i come back to find that the new hot fix made it 0 and no sp was given back to me now i got waste 5x just to slap on a crappy shield extender |

Didn't a dev quote that we wouldn't be affected if we had to skill through the dropsuit side to get the vehicle shield extenders? I would be happy if my SP was refunded from the dropsuit skills that I had to skill into for whatever bugged reason in the first place.
Additionally why wasn't the vehicle PG glitch fixed? vehicles need that PG to be viable. |
