Not only do we have to wait over a week for the three new weapons promised,
Not only do we have to endure with virtually a 2 hour postponement,
but we also have to download a Goddamn client update, at around 1 Mb/s, it is going to be another hour at least..
Thanks for wasting my day CCP, you could have at least allowed us to download the client update WHILE we were waiting -_-

I was getting 800kbps, then I afkd and it froze.. Came back and scrolled through the EULA and it magically downloaded 50% in 2 minutes. |

It doesn't take much time to download (in fact it's a lot faster then when I had to re-download the game after catastrophic failure or something along those lines all I remember is the game told me it was a horrible crash :/ ), and further CCP said over a week ago they weren't releasing weapons until the 14th. I have to go look for the post that said it, but I believe it was one of the dev blog posts, as I remember people raging when it came out. |

Some further clarification. By long skill plans it's suggested the skill be over 7 days. While the last couple expansions have been miraculously under 24 hours of downtime, it was not long ago when an expansion might accidentally the whole server and cause several days of repeated downtime. Though last expac caused several clients to routinely break and require full reinstalls multiple times.
Or the ever infamous boot.ini patch that actually caused damage by replacing your computers boot.ini file require full windows reinstalations.
The fact this is going this smoothly is big deal for ccp. |
