CCP needs to uncap the SP and let people actually grind out some of these skills. Boosters will actually be Boosters and reduce the time in which it takes to grind versus paying to raise the cap and gain a paid advantage over players. |

Raise Cap? I can see this being a reasonable idea, within certain limits. |

No, its needs to be uncapped or capped with roll over. Otherwise new players are gonna be stuck far far behind. I've watched new players try the game out first hand and get frustrated after 2 matches and give up on the game.

Uncapping the SP is the only way to deal with the current SP sink. |

While caps can be frustrating because it essentially makes half the week a waiting game, what you suggest would allow people to grind their specializations in a week's time. Not only that, no cap would exacerbate the AFK issue even more, as people would just AFK 24/7 until they got all their skills maxed out. The cap right now is put in place to prolong the life of the game which is great. I don't think anyone wants to see teams with full proto running around because they happened to have more time to play/be AFK. |

Currently Active SP isn't active SP. I've explained it time after time again. It's ridiculous how people don't get it. DUST514 DOES NOT HAVE ACTIVE SP. Your not rewarded SP for your performance in battle. SP is passively rewarded for participation in battle. People currently have the SP to run full proto and continue to wipe the floor with players such as yourself come monday.
The Arms race has been over for months. A majority of the playerbase that wasn't able to stay ahead of the curve lost. Quit acting like a carebear, because people are going to beat up on you and take your stuff on the 14th. The cap has nothing to do with prolonging the life of the game. PC is what's going to give this game life. The faster people are able to skill up and participate the better. |

A lot of FPS bring out short cuts to those that hate the grind. It's not like the "no lifers" can keep on leveling forever. Soon they will max out. So the noobs will catch up and max out too.
DUST needs to make up its mind as to what it damn is. FPS or MMO? Its wants to be both, but if it's going to use EVE as a template, then a lot of people are going to choose to just watch paint dry.
OH NO! EVERY ONE IN PROTO GEAR!! ....come on. ITS ONLY THEN THAT WE SEE WHO THE FLAVOR OF THE MONTH IS OR WHO"S ACTUALLY GREAT. Lets be honest the best of the best in FPS are not going to wast their time with dust. They don't have the patients for it. I know, cause I tried getting them into this game. lol

Why do people care so much about how much time others play and how much SP they have. Stop worrying about what others are doing and focus on yourself, is that so difficult? I've capped twice in around 2 months and it doesn't bother me that others have capped every week or have 5 mill more SP than me. You play more you should be rewarded more, this game isn't good enough as it is to keep the masses playing all week. |

This is an outdated argument. This might have worked back in january, but currently the top % of players have everything they need maxed out, and are working on their secondary specialization. Characters grow wider not taller in DUST. Eventually everybody catches up. |
