Looks like we have a new Chronicle from CCP courtesy of CCP Falcon.
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Falling_Skies_%28Chronicle%29
It's set just before, during and after the events of Caldari Prime, and sheds some light on what was going on behind the scenes with both the Caldari and the Gallente.
Good read, but very long. Get yourself a cup of something before you dive in.

What i don-¦t like on the recent line of events is the "I-¦m a grunt with power, nobody likes me and i shall soon be overthown because i-¦m almost an analogy to a certain hated historical leader" protraited by Heth, and the "I-¦m a sneaky soft spoken puppeteer working behind the curtains knowing everything beforehand and not screwing up in the slightest" by Roden.
Heth has become a maniac cartoonish villian for eveeeeeeeeryone to hate and feel warm and fuzzy inside when they beat him to pulp. |

Did anyone else noticed a MH-82 taking out a dropship? A kilometre above the user. |

Don't worry... that was a stock Caldari Navy dropship designed to deploy standard infantry.
Their dropships are nowhere as near as durable as yours. Remember, you guys are speshul.

Exactly.
It's far larger, heavier, slower and less agile than the kickass pieces of hardware you guys are used to flying into each other's faces
As for the range on the MH-82, its effectively a mini-gun. It doesn't need to be accurate at long range, it just needs to lead correctly and blanket an entire area of the sky with a hail of ammunition to create a wall of chaff.
Given the size of the thing, the fact it's throwing out thousands of depleted uranium rounds a minute and the fact it's aimed at a target the size of a bus, I'd say accuracy isn't a massive concern, it's more a case of spraying and watching the fireworks.
Granted, I'll admit that a little bit of artistic license was used for the sake of storytelling though |

lol, nice one pointing that out, SO many discrepancies between it and what ACTUALLY happened.
(note not a single mention on how the caldari managed to hold on to the planet itself?) |

Loved the read :D.
Gotta voice my insignificant nitpick though. "Arrival ETA" is a very redundant statement since ETA=Estimated Time of Arrival.
I know its dumb but I can't help but cringe when I see/hear it. |

I-¦m looking foward to see how the hell they-¦ll implement graphically a death ray coming out of the planet and shooting ships in space.
And yes, lot-¦s of discrepancies, but come on, artistic license and lore advancement. If we wanted a full battle report we would watch one of the many videos =)
Concord working with the Gallente however, and the use of NULL Cannons.... Dev Hax =~
I really don-¦t like Roden. One day his dirt will show up and the white and shinny feeling to the Gallente will diminish.
I sincerely don-¦t know how Gallente Death squads killing civilians was so ignored by the public. |
