Probably, no one was at work to turn off the 3x sp till thursday.
Also, it doesn't take a genius to figure out they meant 'up to downtime Thursday' as the ending of Holocon event.
"Hello, you have reached the voicemail of Chilled Pill. I will be on vacation through Thursday" ... so your boss expects you at work Friday because "through" includes Thursday.

"Hello, you have reached the voicemail of Chilled Pill. I will be on vacation through Thursday" ... so your boss expects you at work Friday because "through" includes Thursday. EDIT: And timezone arguments prove the point, this would include the Thursday EVE TIME which is GMT and begins at downtime. Oh look downtime was at 11:00 - 12:00 GMT on Thursday. Which for some areas like Australia +10GMT and Asia +8GMT was at 9PM and 7PM respectively, probably qualifying the use of the word 'through'. 'Awwwwww...but that's not 'mericuh time the world kittened us. Next time world, 'mericuh time please. Not to be entitled or anything...' New Zealand is GMT+12. The downtime ended just before midnight and even WE didn't see them run ALL THE WAY "through" Thursday. But the game runs on EVE time, which is GMT, and "through" still means "through" so they still didn't stick to the exact wording they used.Of course, unlike the Merc Pack issue, their choice of phrasing isn't legally-binding here, so it's not as big a deal.
