You see this? This is what Dust 514 can be. A huge ass field of infantry and vehicles, united as brothers, armor and suit, rifle, and canon, for a common cause. Blowing **** up!
But people like you created a schism in our brotherhood. You whined and cried and you got your way. That vision is almost dead thanks to you. We'll never have that badass epic fight where your squad is getting their **** pushed in, but suddenly a HAV drives in saying "I got your back!" as you push through enemy lines. You ruined it. Tanks in ambush are pure cowards. My corp, anybody's corp... I don't care. Ambush is not designed for tanks, and if CCP had any clue, they would forbid tanks/vehicles in ambush.

This game can be amazing when all the right classes are used properly, but when it comes to random efffin pub matches in ambush, it's a different story altogether.

Well I was going to keep my methana with built in reps to help a tanker out but I dont think I will bother I can forsee 1 or 2 people calling in HAV's and then shooting down every RDV as it comes in making calling anything else suicidal.

Sorry little medic guy :/ See this makes me feel bad, but CCP has given us our role. We are the guys who stop everyone else from using vehicles now, as well as stopping Infantry hack points and never being hit by AV as we're 600m away, might as well embrace our role.

You're an idiot, three standard packed AV grenades on my shield tank will have me running immediately, and considering that a lot of people have a rule that they max out grenadier to level 5, they can throw far and have access to the proto packed nades, they don't need to spec into AV (A fine example would be when my squad was stomping around, an enemy madrugar was on the field and I was like, give me a sec, I'll get my railgun to hear the reply "Nah dw I got this" few seconds later, Enemy Madrugar with around 6500 Armor was dead.)

You can yell until you're blue in the face that tankers are noobs for filling a role that you could obviously never do, and you can also say that we are cowards and that AV is weak, but that means jack **** until I see you rolling a tank and having it survive on the frontlines on a Skirmish.

Yes I understand your tears about Ambush, No I don't really care, but the majority of good players will be moving on to PC so that they can actually have some interesting fights with actual consequences, problem is as we keep saying (And you keep ignoring) is that when tankers turn up to PC, there will be no place for us. As I went for my prototype swarm launcher, I just happened to realize it was Takahiro in his rail tank, displaying the most amazing tankmanship I've ever seen. Before anybody had a chance to yell "Tank!" he charged in, guns ablaze and was gone just as quick, leaving death and destruction at his wake. My squad mates were shouting at me wondering why I haven't fired yet. The only thing I could to was lower my swarm launcher and whisper:

As I went for my prototype swarm launcher, I just happened to realize it was Takahiro in his rail tank, displaying the most amazing tankmanship I've ever seen. Surprised this didn't happen sooner tankers have spilled so much tanker blood and it just doesn't make economic sense. Looks like an incoming nerf was all it took to take away your fighting spirit. Props to sir meode for not hiding behind a list. I get the reason for it, but I dislike the movement. Any tanker on that list will get full AV from my squads, hunting scared tankers is more fun than winning pubs.

It hasn't ruined our fighting spirit, but we're adapting, it's not beneficial for us to keep smashing eachother. But bring your mighty squads of AV, without it, it wouldn't be a challenge.

How is it going to be benificial to not shoot each other? ok so you may save some ISK big deal, so instead you sit and hold hands. All this will breed is contempt and when you finaly do come against some one not on the list you will have forgot how to take them out where as the other guy will have a nice line of tanks sat next to each other to shoot at.

I only play ambush, I suppose 95% of the people on that list are in skirmish so as you said they can hide in the mountains. With no red line you can only survive tanking in ambush if your team is superior, or if you get lucky and they don't run coordinated AV.

No orbitals on tanks, if your team is dominating or if you are not sure to hit at least 5 people with the attack (3 on the tank and two out).

I'm not signing the petition, but I support that. I'm still killing tanks, but I will not be orbitaling them.

And I would rather lose a Sagaris in a 1v1 HAV battle than to win by using an orbital. If I'm beat 1v1, I will definitely not orbital the guy after.

1. Even if you are in the agreement, I will kill your HAV if I see it, you have to message me to prevent me from taking aim on you, I can 1 shot almost anything with my rail gun so you wont see anything.

2. If you shoot at me, I will immediately take aim on you and 1 shot you, no acceptations.

You're right about the vehicle engineering skill. For the other posters, I'm assuming you mean the vehicle core upgrades skill?

The reason for lowering the overall bonus was to allow us to create a more varied difference in between our different vehicle roles within the same class. This will become more apparent in the future when we release even more roles with different slot layouts. We also want to make sure that new players have a fighting chance against more skill point rich players who can enjoy the benefit of compounding premium module bonuses in the same fitting. We'll be keeping a close eye on how this nets out in vehicle combat, and ensure that we still afford you the ability to create interesting and unique fits to compliment your combat experience.

Just thought id report on the truce tgus far . Unfortunarly iv only came across one other member of this truce and on both occasios we refused to fire on one another the grief I got of of my corp mates made it even more fun. I cant immaging what the other blue berries and red berrys thought as we just rolld past each other in plain sight lol.

Coming across Pegasis was funny ****, we've encountered each other twice so far, one occasion we just passed each other, aimed at each other sort of like a "Sup" and continued going past, and I do believe my squadmates were quite pissed I continued letting him go loose.

we're nerfed into the ground. Truce is off when tanks stop complaining about being UP.

I s'pose we could go back to blowing eachother up? With the recent thread about buffs coming up there is no issue with us being ridiculously weak, and I guess we all need to practice more with PC coming in three more days..

Thanks for all your input. Here are some quick points:
- I'm looking at adjusting PG and CPU values, however this is a bit of a big effort so keep that in mind since this will also include re-evaluating PG/CPU costs of all vehicle modules as well and this of course will require an extensive amount of testing.
- we are aware of the issues with turrets. this is going to require some code support and some further feature development to get that out there for you. We're looking at what would be a reasonable deployment plan for you on our end since streaming content (meshes, value changes) is a completely different thing than uploading code changes.
- The Gallente HAVs are intentionally quicker and nimbler than the Caldari HAVs as this is a racial characteristic between the two races. Initially, this was the wrong way around because of an optimization to the physics wheel configuration on these HAVs. Don't forget, at the end of the day that armor tanking is going to reduce the propulsion of an HAV, something which the Gallente HAV is more aligned to.
