Well Looks like Armor is better then shield by far.
Armor holds the current stats of the standard dropship, while the shield has much lower stats then its standard version.
Guess I will be going armor into the new build. |

My 2,000 ISK forge gun will obliterate your 690,000 ISK (base) assault dropship in under 5 seconds :)
so that 10 million SP and 1.5 million ISK < zero SP+a couple thousand ISK.

Wait untill the minmatar heavy anti dropship weapon comes out, it does bonus damage to armor tanks |

Armor is easiest to skill into and provides a larger HP bonus than Shields. Why not skill into armor? |

Reps are 4 times better. Active reps last 60 seconds.
Armor is better. I fly both armor and shield and my armor dropships is able to eat more AV then I could ever dream of in my shield.

I'll be interested to see how much more maneuverable a shield assault derpship is. |

Yeah, I'm going to bet that speed tanking will be the most effective method of surviving in the ADS, shield has an inherent advantage in that regard. But I'm going to spec into both as usual, and judge for myself which is better. |

Correction- any turrets fixed on the front of a dropship will suck. Missiles might actually be the most useful for this because they have the biggest splash, and therefore biggest margin of error. |

yes..please fly armor assault dropships so when you swoop in low for a bombing run i can chuck a few proto packed AV nades into your cockpit |
