People are not idiots, cheaters or lieing when they do it. So calling someone that is just a fabricated thought.

Yes people may hate them. You could say it is poor gamers etiquette. It is something that should not be in the game. It hurts overall gameplay. These are things it does.

But it is a smart way for poeple to do other things at home while gaining the competitive SP they want. Saying having more SP does not help you say competitive is just a lie. It does. someone with 10% damage mods vs someone with 5% has a big advantage.

Do I think CCP needs to fix AFKing. Yes. But I would be stupid not to use it to my advantage while it allows me to work on my school work. Or browse these forums for fun.

How is AFKing not like steroids? It's a way to get better faster than doing it legitimately. I don't call people idiots. I don't insinuate that people are idiots. I say that AFKing is boosting and should be frowned upon. Also at the end of the video, I'm pretty sure I say "to each their own". If people want to AFK, by all means go for it, but that does not mean that I have to condone it or agree with it.

I tried to make it clear that my stance is against it, but I don't hate the players that do it. If you didn't get that from the video, you didn't pay close enough attention.

Steroids is banned from sports and considered cheating by the league for each sport. AFKing is a mechanic in DUST 514. CCP has not banned it. Or called it a cheat/exploit. It is a acceptable and legitimate way to play. It is like creatine if you want to use that annalogy. Some people frown on it others except it. But it is legal.

None of these things change if I AFK. I just gain extra SP to put into things I enjoy. Yes people are pissed off at me but in the end that does not effect me. Because I have a big friend base in dust so if a few people get angry I am not going to be a loner. So why should I not AFK? I am just explaining that your reasonings are horrible. If you talked about the mechanic needing to be fixed and bad for game play then you would have something worth while. But all the video did was attack other players saying they have no excuses to AFK. You do not need a excuse to AFK. It is legitimate. No rules ban it. Nothing says it is a exploit. It is a unexpected mechanic. Just like the wind tunnels some baseball stadiums make that make it easier to obtain a home run. The home run is legitimate. Just takes longer to fix that mistake where here it is a quicker time line. Yes maybe not quick enough for some.

You care about it. @Ric Barlom Oh no we have someone who took intro to pysc. He learned about conditioning theory and he has it all mastered now. Maybe he even studied a little Freud. Then we have a real master. We could go over the Id, Ego, and Super-Ego. Those deal with your morals in a way. If I am at my dog stage then not sure where that leaves you, maybe single cell organism. But Ric I will not get mad. But I will say that you basically wrote a ton of stuff that does not mean much. It does not make any sense. And you have little understanding about psychology.

This is exactly what I mean, man, when I talk about the behaviour methods of these AFK farmers. Why do you have to be so hostile and confrontational all the time, dude! Let's have an open discussion about this thing without any hostility, bro. hey ric, how do you feel about your own corp mates and alliance mates AFK farming? came across a lot of them today. I love how he is calling me hostile yet he is calling people dogs and maybe even a camel. :/ I have to wonder about some people on these forums. Once your prove them wrong they get all defensive and start pointing fingers because that is all they have left. :)
