It is 6 AM. I should be sleeping but I am not, so I am on the forums. I remembered something that happened a while back.
I was doing an ambush match in a level 1 Assault suit with like 150 Shield and 260 some odd armor. Guy spawns, I start shooting him with my trusty assault rifle. He turns and shoots me twice with his more trusty basic Scrambler Pistol and I drop. I am wondering if the damage on the Scrambler is actually that nifty or I got shot by a sniper or something and the Scrambler just happened to kill me.
I am not complaining: i am just procrastinating going to sleep.

He shot your head, they do massive bonus damage on headshots. 450% efficiency I think?
edit: Base damage for a basic one (and militia) is 72. 72 x 4.5 would be 324 damage. With weaponry 5 that becomes ~91 base damage which means 405 damage. I'm not 100% on the number but enough to say something, someone else will confirm I'm sure |

scrambler pistols are great fun. ive taken to using them as my primary to improve my aim and increase my head shot ratio. nothing like landing thosse headshots and watching them turn to jelly. |

Yes, I just tested it out myself with a corpmate. Take a Scrambler Pistol (it can even be Militia) and aim at the head close range. Efficiency is 450%. How bout them headshots? :P
Anyways, it efficiency does dropoff at range, but still does ridiculous amount of damage. A person with REALLY good aim could essentially two shot you with regular pistols. I've heard stories of people dropping high level heavy suits with an officer level pistol.  |
