So, in order to whittle down a defending district's clones as fast as you can (since you can only attack the same district once every 24 hours), you'd only need to hold half of the bases and farm the remaining one/ones right? Since pushing the enemy back to their redline means you have to struggle for kills, wouldn't leaving them a base or two make it much easier to cut out their clones stored up?
Also, how is it determined when a district changes hands? Does it's defenders have to be defeated a certain number of times? Is it when all clone reserves are used up? Is it when the defenders first MCC is destroyed? I've seen some places where it was attempted to be explained, but I may have missed where it was clarified in a simple manner since I've been off the forums for a while. Can someone please tell me exactly the moment when one side is declared the new owner of a district? |

A district is then locked from the attackers use for 24 hours at which point the original defenders can attack and attempt to reclaim the district since the attackers can't reinforce the clone count. after that its all yours. (at least thats how I interpreted it.) |

Once they lose they lose 150 clones regardless, so redlining remains a good tactic. From what I understand the district changes hands as soon as the attacker depletes all the clones in the district. |

Awesome, then that really means no more redlining if the attacker really wants to take a district lol |

lets not forget that if you win by MCC and dont clone them then the attackers get a portion of the defenders clones as well |

If that's the case, then the defender, once redlined, would just need to remain in the base and wait the match out. |

Red-lining will be the best tactic still. Saves you clones (as the attacker) and takes out at least the 150 clone minimum with less risk than spawn farming could have. Faster battles with less ISK/fits/clones lost. |

I see what you're getting at. Leave one or two Null cannons in enemy hands to goad them into dieing rather than redlining them.
So, as a defender, redlining to minimize losses is good.
As an attacker, you wouldn't want to pin the enemy behind the redline, unless there was a danger of you running low on clones yourself. In that case, you'd want to take all the points, pin the enemy behind the red line, and keep your own losses down. If you had clones to burn, it'd be better to keep them spawning outside the red line so you can kill more clones before the MCC blows. |
