Never played an fps where people take a complete magazine to die (sometimes more). Noobs becoming op b/c of allocated points.
I play cod and bf3 and my k/d ratio is always 3:1 or 4:1 come here and die by noobs with "more points" -- notice i left off skill part on purpose.

Yeah, that's what happens in F2P Games.
Equipment is tiered, so people that play the game more will have better stuff. Or you buy higher tier stuff. That's the entire point of this economic model. |

If you are so much more skilled you can still beat them. Besides, every time you kill them it's costing them a ton of money. You don't have to worry about that yet.
Basically, you need to learn the game and get good before you can really start complaining. |

Ok, you've got some experience. Heck, you've been gaming almost half as long as I have. Seems even a newer gamer such as yourself would understand the difference between a tracking shooter and a twitch shooter.
Just to be clear though, SOCOM isn't an FPS. |

CoD = Twitch gaming "Arcade" FPS
Dust 514 = Tactical MMOFPS

You must be missing a lot if you take a whole magazine, unless of course its a heavy. Guessing you don't have much experience with high health strafe shooters. Being able to track targets effectively and to evade with strafing is the emphasised skill in this game, it isn't about just seeing your enemy before they see you and landing 3 shots.
A militia of standard AR does 387.5 damage per second, so if most of your shots hit, you should be able to drop someone in less than seconds. |

A full clip of an AR will drop even prototype gear. If you can actually hit with it, that is.
A full clip of pretty much any weapon will drop any other infantry unit, if you're hitting with it. |

My 7yr old niece has the same K/d ratio in cod. That's not saying much kid. For you or the that game. Broaden your FPS games. Oh and read everyone else posts on here. It'll help you out. Grind, or boost up to gear up if you want count down on the dying. This ain't no pretty FPS, but it ain't cod either. |

1. You have shields and armor to get through, that's why it takes a whole mag.
2. Cod and bf3 are no comparison to dust.
3. If you think k/dr means ANYTHING here then you're playing the wrong game.

this is a team/squad centric game that requires longer term planning and less twitch. You're twitchy skills will still serve, but a whole new skill set must be developed. I've seen how you people play in COD and BF and it will not fly here. |

If you are new don't pay any attention to all the nut yankers on here. In particular, pay no attention to people who have no recollection or history of playing against people with superior weapons and skills -- especially those that got into the game very early.
Just keep playing a bit and everything will start to fit together before too long. |

this is a strafe shooter wich is alot different to the ones your used to playing, people wont die in a single hit so you need to have a differnt mentality and playstyle that you did in the other games youve played.
unfortunatly it just means you have to unlearn alot of your old habbits |

Yep. People wear advanced suits of armor and have shields so it takes more than a shot or two to kill them. And those with in-game money can buy good gear making it even harder. And skills make you more effective with the gear you have..... it's hard to come in new and play against those odds. But as someone mentioned just keep it up and it will all fall into place.
Don't sweat the KDR too much if you can help it. |
