What time zones do most of your members come from? I'm in Australia so I play at odd hours.

Do you need snipers?

Cause I'm groovin' on the long kill.

Do you use voice comms?

Hey Munch (Please excuse me if you don't mind me not saying the first part publicly )

We very much enjoy having good sniper support in our teams, and while snipers are common, it's rare to find a good one.

The only question I'd have with you being a sniper is what is your goal? Often snipers I meet are just itching to get tons of kills but often what is needed is just someone who is watching the battlefield and relaying intel while getting the occasional counter-snipe and hack denial.

As for voice comms, yes we do. Whenever we squad up we ask our members to always be on voice comms. If they do not have a mic they can atleast listen in. The majority of our squad leaders do have mics though and all the squad leaders going into Conquest have mics.

As for EVE support. We do have a moderate list of capsuleers available to us and the list grows by the day. We are not one of the big power players but we have a group of skilled and crafty individuals that work hard to get us the support we need.

The battlefield isn't a problem, figuring everything else out in the menus. is another story. How do I go about signing up?

1. Use Munch. All the other names were taken. Just don't call me late for supper.

2. Sniping is fun but I really feel that to be an asset I have to act like a scout as well, so my goal fits with your expectation. I don't even mind rushing in to do a quick hack either.

3. Voice comms will be critical if I'm going to scout and snipe. Do you use Mumble or some other program? I'm a n00b to this game, so I'm not sure if the game (PS3 version) supports voice comms.

4. As long as we can get some orbital strikes and some good stuff to use a smaller corp will probably be ok (again, I'm a n00b so I might be completely wrong).

It seems you have the right idea about sniping in Dust. It seems like you'll be a great person to have on our team ^,^

We use in game comms as many of our members don't have a nearby computer or device that can be used to facilitate an alternative voice comm program. We can walk you through how to use in game comms in Dust. You will need a mic that will work with the PS3, which is typically a bluetooth mic, or a converter to turn analog headsets into usb which is what I use.

As for how to contact us, feel free to join our public chat channel, SMC Public. Also you can send me a mail in game and when I get home (about 4-5 hours from now) I'll be available to get you into the corp myself. If you join the chat channel and another director speaks with you, just tell them you talked with me on the forums and give them a brief overview of what we talked about here.

Hey Matt, thank you for your interest in the corp. I would suggesting joining the chat channel SMC Public. You can do this by entering your NEOCOM and under the social section. I believe it's labeled chat.

I'm not on at the moment, I am at work so I don't have the game in front of me.

If you like aswell, you can simply apply by going to the "search" section under the "corperation" tab and look for our corp name. The shorthand is SMCin if that will help with the typing. One of the directors will have a quick chat with you to make sure we're the right place for you :)

I'm just starting in Dust 514, but I'm a veteran FPS player going back to titles like the original Call of Duty and the early Medal of honor games. I also rocked the sticks on Battlefield 3, and I'm currently playing on a Black Ops 2 team, but I'm ready for a new thing, and Dust 514 looks like a good bet.

If you're still looking for active members, I would love to get a shot at joining you folks. I've been playing in a sniping capacity almost exclusively thus far, but I can work to fit whatever role you need.
