Could we get maps that lend themselves to armored warfare? I would love to see armoured columns and huge tanks just blasting at each other over a desert or on a glacier?!
I wanna see an Armored column rolling through a canyon while a team of mercs hide above them ready to blow the REs and ambush them.
I wanna see a firing line of HAVs waiting outside a fortress ready to prevent a breach in the wall from an incoming wave of siege tanks while both sides are supported by LAVs full of infantry.
From a different point of view this would also give great new roles for players to fill. Especially on the big BIG maps. Scouts and dropships trying to gather intel on an armored column or teams dedicated to repairing vehicles. |

This idea is awesome. I got into a pub game that was a 7v7 tank battle, on one of the large open maps. It was madness! And awesome. Oh so awesome.
We had armor columns push up, we got the enemy retreating, then they called in support and pushed our 7 tanks back. We were able to make another push up, but it was so much fun. Tanks were exploding everywhere!
I have no idea how many tens of millions of isk were lost in that one battle, but it was epic.
ATM the only good tank battle map is manus peaks, something that will hopefully be changed in the future. By that, I mean more maps like manus peaks. |

It would be great. Especially onn the large maps.
Some guys defending an outpost get a message from some fighters flying by that a tank column is coming. They start crapping thier pants and frantilcally calling for help thats not going to come. They have to hold the position. You get an Alamo scenario. Them defending the place to the last man ordered as they are cut down by burning plasma and hot laser, while places is slowly blasted to bits around them .
..........
Then they wake up later and get a posse together to hunt down those guys before they wreak any more havok upon thier fellow mercs. |

Would be interesting, but I suggest having a lot of hiding places and canyons for people to ambush. Also, put in a cloaked dropship and raise the flight ceiling. |

Or they could stop by the local depot, refit and blow the column to smithereens. never know. The fighter providing tactical information sounds awesome though as well as the larger maps

I fail to see how a fighter will provide any better information than the overhead map. You'd probably be better off with a sniper perched on the tallest mountain. |

True. But i dont think that most players play with the overhead map out all the time. It could be a plane or a scout of somekind. They would just point out something on the way the dont see on thier minimap |
