Like any good politician, you may one day have to run for office. Its a good idea to have a platform. And I'm certain that will take up a chunk of their time because figuring out a proper voting system that can't be exploited is going to be a daunting task at best. We also have to remember that these people were selected because of their involvement in the community and the effort they put forth. Of course, there were plenty of better options out there but overall how many of those people interviewed are well involved in the community, are a team player, have a clear perspective on the big picture, have valid passports, and able to travel with no problem when needed?
