You said you "didn't expect to pay AUR for a beta".
Last I checked, you also didn't expect to get your SP/Items back.
Here is the thing. Please, look at it from a business viewpoint, not BS victimized stuff.
You bought AUR. You used AUR. You retain the SP, and ISK gained from using AUR items.
If you were to be reimbursed the AUR, to make it "legally fair" (as in, no buy one, get one free deal), the SP gained from AUR boosters, and your KD and all AUR items would need to be removed from your account, and the AUR would be reimbursed accordingly.
Or, CCP would just not give you the AUR back that was used for SP.
Either way, we can argue all day long about loopholes and wording and legal claims about the writing on a simple description.
The fact stands that getting double the AUR (basically) while paying for one purchase is unfair both to CCP, and other players who may not have bought AUR yet.
And you may say 'BUT THEY GOTTA REWARD US FOR PAYING", well the only reward you get for being part of the beta is about 4-10 million SP when the game launches, and a slew of suits and items. |

Love how everyone glosses over the part where we asked CCP if there are no more reset does this mean its commercial release. They say no and we say well merc pack items say also on commercial release. There is no condition in the terms stating that a reset is included with said condition.
Moreso said there would be no SP resets.
Fault lies with CCP not us. You can try to play the fairness game all you want and cry till you are blue in the face Icy but conditions were clear on the merc pack and CCP then compounded by adding in no more resets, initially of SP then of AUR items.
They can reset the SP if they want thats up to them, but they are not obligated to do so. You being a whiny P2W pusher(an argument that holds no merit) cry that we are getting 2 bites at the apple. I say its no different than europe players who got merc packs for $10 while US players still had to pay $20 right at the beginning of Open Beta.
Anyone cry P2W or unfair or other crap then, nope it was a deal and one that was made available to only a small market. It happens, such is the case with the Merc pack langauge on all pre-open beta packs and GS packs.
You can cry all you want but refunds are coming in one form or another. Don't like it well as you've enjoyed saying so much to everyone else HTFU. |

I dont understand it. When you preorder a game, you don't get two copies of it, you get one. Why should you get the aurum back? Especially when there was a statement some time back that the final aurum reset has happened. |

Its really a bad argument that AUR spent on boosters is somehow P2W or unfair.
If the aurum was bought and used to buy booster 2x so be it. The SP earned has to be earned it isnt automatic and there is a time component attached to it. The only difference is you are getting that SP for free. So what i say. Does that matter.
What happened to all the HTFU over ppl who QQ'd over SP gap and how it was irrelevant after x amount of SP earned. So isnt this basically just the same QQ over a possible SP gap that wouldnt occur for months and even then it would be marginal compartively speaking?

The statement was it was the final SP reset. CCP didn't say anything about AUR until the players asked for clarification, and then shocked us by saying we silently went into commercial release before open beta even started.
So CCP has never once given a straight answer on this subject. And AUR is the bottom line so it should have the highest priority when dealing with the community. |

Just so we have the relevant info:
http://www.dust411.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/MercPackTerms.jpg
Merc Pack was originally promoted as a "credit" of all Merc Pack contents on every reset AND at commercial release.
Not "including" commercial release, and not "maybe if we feel like it" for commercial release.
There's no ambiguity in the terms used. Merc Pack contents - or an equivalent value - needs to be credited back. Any items used up by people who bought the Merc Pack under those terms are to be credited back to them. If you still have the item (like most will for their Dragonfly suits and Toxin SMGs), it's going to still be there. It's legitimate for CCP to say that any boosters are being credited back with the SP reset on May 6th, and that they're giving you SP to the value of what you earned with the booster(s) purchased. It's also legitimate to scrap any (or all) items in the Merc Pack and give us ISK or AUR value of those items or their nearest equivalent. |

Have similar wording about being able to provide best services to all customers you waive the right to sue Sony or any of its partners.
