Wicked Glory wrote:Change the skill cap to roll over every week. If you don't hit the cap a certain week, it gets added to the cap next time it resets. If this happens it will basically save the game from being dead due to lack of new players within 6 months. You can thank me later. +1 I should want to play the game outside of "Oh ****! It's Tuesday night and I haven't hit my cap yet!" |

+1 for the great post though. Because instead of being forced to play so you don't fall behind every week, you'll be able to play when you want to, like an actual game should. There are going to be times when you want to take a break from dust and times where you'll want to play the **** out of it. We shouldn't be punished for not wanting to play. EVE players sure as hell don't since they can set their skills to be learned automatically (without even having to log in) since everything is 100% passive. I'd rather play the game than have it play me. |

I'd rather play the game than have it play me. There's a difference eve is a subscription based game so if you want to pay and not log in that's on you CCP still get there cash. Even free games don't punish you for not playing a certain amount of time every week. Imagine if WoW or Diablo followed a B/S formula like this where the xp you would gain is eternally lost if you don't play. Basically, while everyone is able to get to lvl 80 you get capped out at lvl 65 with no hope of catching up.

DontLazeMeBro wrote:There are caps in wow, dailies, raid, arena just to name a couple off the top of my head. It's not like you really lose anything, you just can't get more til next week. That's different though, what I'm talking about is if you actually lose something from not playing whether real-life issue or otherwise. Suppose you were at level 50 and had to go out of town to visit a sick family member or something for a week. If WoW followed any semblance of Dust does for character growth, you would never be able to reach the level cap because you didn't play in that time frame. You take a break from any other MMO and you can still level up to the same level as everyone else. You take a break from Dust, you fall behind and never have a chance to catch up. |

You mean other than the times we said option 2 would lead to AFKing and it did. That the new spawn mechanic would create blob warfare that could easily be controlled and manipulated and it did How we told you AV was going to dominate Vehicles and they do How the game in its never ending attempt to cater to the carebears and the casuals would lead to the game losing its identity and its base. And yea thats happening too. How faction warfare was going to lead to nothing but blue donuts and when CCP realized it they changed the numbers and even then still didnt get the forrmula 100% but at least its better than the first iteration they had going (you're welcome) You can hate all you want but don't be mad cause we know what makes a good game and our nerds are actually good at FPS unlike yours. It isnt cocky when you can back it up, dont worry though not like you could ever dream of owning stuff in PC so dont bother. Evetards and MAGgots aiike tremble at your GAWDS, the wrath of NF will soon be upon you. Stfu impswarm *****. I put up with the rest of them talking s**** and acting cocky, but just stop. /snaps fingers "hey usless dropship pilot you missed the mark, now circle back and get in me in close enough so a real soldier can get the job done, oh **** you hit a lampost, eff it im bailing and footing it". Assuming you're not AFK |

Establish early unwarranted self importance through boastful banter and hapless trolling. 2. Wait for more IMPs to show up and engage in circle-jerk of unwarranted self importance and trolling. 3. If someone calls you out on being AFK, resort to personal attacks. 4. Repeat 1 and 2 until called out again for AFK farming. |
