I would like the booster i just purchased and implanted, refunded. Why you might ask? because i was under the impression that if i bought a booster, turned it on and went about my business playing, i would receive an SP cap boost.( i have both active and passive) so i tested it, waited until i hit the SP cap without a booster, and turned them on. guess what? still getting 1500SP a match! |

Please explain why you thought the booster would raise your SP cap, providing references to the misleading information.
I can put a booster on assuming that it will give me wings and rainbow lasers I can shoot out of my mouth but I'm unlikely to get a refund when that doesn't happen. |

So you waited until you hit the cap...
and now you're getting 1500SP per match, despite having already hit the cap?
If that's true, then I agree that it's broken... but it's broken in your favour. 1500SP is the amount you should get pre-cap with a booster. |

im not searching for the thread for you, a dev has already told us in the past that buying an active booster raises the SP cap ceiling about another 100K a week

What? before i was getting 1000SP so bought a booster to raise the SP ceiling so i would receive the normal amount SP per match. now im only getting 1500SP which is the max you get after hitting the ceiling with a booster |

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the booster does or, if you know how it works, difficulty communicating. I'd quite like to help but I can't see this thread becoming anything constructive given your refusal to justify your mistaken impressions. |

Thinking about the booster as something which "raises your cap" is a poor model for predicting how it will work.
The best way to imagine boosted SP in my opinion is to consider it something separate to active SP.
Every week you can earn 190400 active SP, no matter what. Once you hit this amount, you are capped.
If you activate the booster, this 190400 active SP cap doesn't change, you just earn an additional 50% of the SP which does not contribute towards the cap.
So, if you activate the booster after having already earned 100000 active SP, you have 90400 active SP to gain before hitting the cap and only this amount will grant you bonus SP.

actually quite the opposite,
Active boosters give a .5% increase in SP earned in matches, as well as boosting the WEEKLY SP CEILING BY 100K+
im having a hard time understanding how this isnt communicated clearly in my OP

They boost the weekly ceiling by 50% of the amount remaining until you hit the cap. |

cap stays the same
extra 50% sp earned for the matches you play before you hit cap don't count toward the cap, think of it like this
sp that counts towards cap ----------------- sp that doesn't count towards cap 190,000 sp ---------------------------------------- 100,000 sp
after you hit cap you can earn up to 1500 sp instead of just 1000 sp. |

I failed too, got myself confused and managed to post nonsense.
I'd be keen to see that thread because it's entirely possible and even likely that devs miscommunicated about how these work. |

i think it was in the mega-thread about the Omega booster that never made an appearance, but i'm not 100% sure. |

Didn't bother reading replies, so someone might have beat me to it. The booster gives you 50% more SP, your potential sp per week never changes, but with booster, you can earn more from that same amount. Why do you think you get more per game with booster rather than more game's worth of sp. you had 0% sp potential remaining. Don't bother complaining, if you actually thought about it you would have known this would happen. |

If you haven't already overstepped your cap, a Booster increases it. If you wait (like OP did) until you've already gone over the cap, it doesn't reset the fact that you went over your cap. |
