So, yeah, all trolling and cross butthurt aside here's what you would probably be looking for fitting wise.
-Type-II or B-Series with a cardiac regulators and kinetic catylizer. I wouldn't recommend using plates since your focus is to keep up with the HAV or jump on top if it's full. -Weapon wise, there's nothing wrong with the AR. It's reliable and will get the job done. Mass driver would be a good choice too if you have other squad mates backing you guys up on foot. You won't be getting kills, but rather laying down covering fire to deal with both frontline and AV. You shouldn't be repairing constantly just to mooch guardian points! During WP cooldown, keep an eye out for forge guns and swarms and try to point them out to the pilot if they're outside your range or deal with them yourself if it's safe. Just make sure to only focus your fire on AV and let the tank deal with front line infantry. Make sure to communicate with the pilot about what modules are up or in cooldown. If his repper's are up, there's no purpose of you repairing and if he's taking hits from swarms, try to focus on killing them since they can damage the tank faster than you'll be able to heal it. -Equipment wise, I usually use the inert repair tool. The vehicle one (not in game to check the name) would seem like the best choice on paper, but the range of the inert is a life saver. There will be times where you can't just hide behind the tank, and nearby cover outside the other reppers' range won't be able to do their job. As a logi, you should have some levels invested into armor repair anyway, so your passive skill with repair will make up for the difference in the type of armor the tool can be able to heal. Also, if you have other infantry backing you guys up, you need to be efficient enough to rep them too. Other slots are open for whatever the situation should call for. I usually carry an injector or an uplink. With the uplink, you're giving your team a temporary base and wordlessly telling them to support you and your HAV. If everyone is doing this as they should, then stick with an injector. |
