im freezing just about every game ive removed game redownloaded even did the ps3 defrag thing nothing has helped can someone plz help me with this.. oh and its not running hot |

Go to your "Saved Data Utility" folder on your PS3 and delete the dust 514 file. It doesn't delete the game, but you may need to readjust your settings if you've changed anything.
I suspect it may have gotten corrupted. |

How long does the freeze last, Ragewar? less than a second? A few seconds? Or do you need to reset the game? Reset the whole console? |

It's a freeze that in order to fix would be to turn off the system. Same problem with me too. It's ******** |

Sorry to hear you'r having that Ludwig - sounds a nightmare. Does that happen every game like Ragewar's problem?
I ask because it seems there are several problems going on. For example, I'll see micro-freezes and screen jitter enough to significantly throw my targetting off in about a third to half of all games, and maybe half of those same games often have significant screen freezes of 3-5 seconds duration. I can minimise this problem by selecting my playtime, and it's worse when there is an event on, which strongly suggest server load to me.
While I have had "reset the game" type freezing, it's now far less common than it once was - a few times a week, so one game in 25 maybe.
Full hangs where I have to reset the console are pretty rare indeed now (good progress on that, guys), and even then I can't remember the last time I had to remove the power cable - pressing the console power button does the trick now.
So, I'm curious to hear Ragewar's experience, maybe it's something we'll recognise and can help him with? |

I thought I had it resolved for myself, but it's back with a vengeance. 4 games today, 3 of them froze, requiring me to shut off the ps3. Don't know what's going on, but glad it's not just me. Perhaps it's CCP's way of saying, "find another game." |
