This post is in no order only all the info i see as important will be put here
This is all legit from Reddit. some are just answers where some are questions then answers.
Drones are being initially implemented as PvE content. We have discussed having them a "pilot-able equipment", but, something like that would follow.
When will we get the option to turn off the HUD? At the moment it's hard to be creative with propaganda or fan videos because we are forced to see everything from a players perspective. Doing stuff like that is part of what we call the "Gladiator" (eSports) suite of features, which would come along with having a proper Spectator mode.
I see a lot of people asking really specific questions about minutiae, so here are some questions I'd love to see answered about some broader stuff: What's the basic plan in regards to both battle size (ie: 16vs16, 32vs32 etc) and map size in the next year or two? Do you guys still intend to try to push the scale up as large as possible, or has that sort of gone on the backburner? When the beta first got going a year or so ago, you guys were talking about plans for an eSports expansion, is that still a possibility, or has it been scrapped? What size do you guys envision as the "average" corp size, say a year from now? Obviously how you guys construct the game determines what the most efficient corp size will end up being. With that in mind, do you actively try to design the game with certain corp sizes, loadouts, squad makeups, etc in mind? Or is your approach more to just create cool toys and figure the players will work out how to best tilt the systems you give them to their favor? Similar to #4, but more broadly, as you guys have been working on Dust 514 for quite awhile now, what are some of the biggest surprises you've stumbled onto? As in, what developments, if any, have come up in the game that maybe weren't originally intended? How about things you guys really thought you wanted to do, but ended up only being good on paper? Beta for a year, looking back, is there anything you guys would have done differently, or wish you would have done better during the process? What's your personal favorite thing about the game? Large or small, what really makes you beam with pride, or even just smile a smile of personal victory? Large or small.
The corporation battles for planetary conquest are going up to 16v16. We actually were looking at going bigger but the bigger we go for corporation battles the bigger corporations have to be to participate in planetary conquest. Possibility it is indeed. One of our concerns with Uprising and the launch of planetary conquest is that it removes the ability for corporations to just have a match between two corps without putting large investments at risk, also you generally have to be in planetary conquest to do that. Arena type battles are high on our list, I was actually talking to Nullabor about this just earlier today... well yesterday now I guess... crap it's late... anyways point is yes, we are thinking lots about it. Our biggest question is when we do it how far do we go with it. Do we just add arena battles? Spectator mode? Streaming options? The ability to set up tournaments? How far do we need to go is the big question. Um.... this is a pretty crazy question as it varies a bit depending on what area of the game you are talking about. I know we want to see the battles get as big as possible, but we don't want to cater just to large corporations. We did a bunch of research into the size of corporations and number of active players when doing planetary conquest. We wanted to make sure that at 16v16 lots of corporations would be able to participate. As I said we want to try and get the battles as big as possible but we also want to make sure as many people as possible can participate... so... I guess the answer is... varying? I will leave that question to others. I have personally only been at the company since June last year and on DUST since January so I don't have much to say here. Sorry. Same as above. The community! Really no joke, talking to you guys and interacting with you guys is the best part of the job. That along with just seeing the crazy stuff we are doing with DUST.
There won't be any PvE in the Uprising build. We said at Fanfest last year that we wan't to do it, and we have continued thinking about it internally. Nothing solid yet and no ETA, but as far as Planetary Conquest is concerned we would like to tie it to that in someway. Something like owning a district with a specific SI allows for PvE battles to be started, or makes them more common. Not sure yet, still just thoughts in our heads, but we are thinking about it. p.s. I responded only because I was waiting for a new build, will continue full answering tomorrow when I am supposed to. :P
We won't have online / offline / in battle for uprising but its on the feature list and gets regularly prodded at (its a little tricky to solve at scale). The contact loading times should be much quicker in Uprising. We also added invite to squad from chat channels and the scoreboard because it just makes too much sense :-)
What steps in the future will be used to eliminate MCC and redline sniping? With Uprising, we've greatly improved the spawn/death sequence in general, including situational awareness around spawning. We are working on additional countermeasures with gear and map setups as well.
Will there be a way to see available squads in a corp or channel beyond shouting out in chat and waiting for responses? Not at this time. :(
You will be able to invite people to your squad directly from chat channels and the scoreboard in Uprising. A squad finder is a cool idea too, just a matter of getting some time to do it.

When you can't field the numbers yourself, you call in friends from other corps (thats what alliances, ya know, are?) or MERCENARIES (that's what we, ya know, are?)

I don't know why they are trying to turn a territory-based FPS into a small-scale arena shooter. They need to get this Esports crap out of their heads and re-prioritize. Esports games have to be good to look at and Dust is frankly a joke in that regard. Focus on making it a good game and then down the road maybe someone will care about looking at it from a spectator viewpoint. It would be cool to be able to spectate having your corp for example take over a planet or to watch corp battles. |

Seeing the correct spelling of a different but same spelling word always prompts me to inform someone of the correct word. Not being the grammar ****/jerk that says "lol-you're-doing-it-wrong", but more of a "I-don't-think-that-means-what-you-think-it-means" approach. Again, in a friendly manner. Oh and also people are talking about Jets? I don't know much about that.
Another cool feature is the ability to see Eve ships from the ground. That is coming in Uprising as well. |

As of now, all it is is numbers transferring from Eve to dust. But I think even a "fake" image of the ship depending on its type should be displayed high up in the sky. Maybe one of the lower polygon models perhaps. Yea maybe just the type of ship is seen in the sky but doenst move around exactly like the eve player is moving his ship. When he leaves that ship that we see would leave too |

Maybe when we move to ps4 then the ability to graphically see eve ships will be possible, but as it is, all we get are brackets. Ok thanks for the info. So recording it is a no go, i don't think they would be happy about me explaining an exploit out on the forums either.
