I know there are plenty of pilots who know the feels, but I just had a match that summed up the problem with dropships right now.
I spent over half the match on Manus Peak skirmish flying my ship around, dropping guys off at objectives, taking fire from tanks, swarms, forge launchers, rail gun installations, and surviving, doing my job.
Finally, I got a bad draw and my repper didn't activate at 14 HP, it just kept going to 0, and then refused to heal.
The ship crashes with one blueberry in it.
What is my reward?
- 75 for vehicle destruction
- 50 for his death
- 500,000 ISK
What the kitten?
It's been a year now. This is absurd.

Yes, it is absurd. Probably won't get any rewards in Uprising

Update: This is on our list of things to fix in the future updates. We are aware of the lack of WP rewards to players that donGÇÖt do kills."
They would have said it would come in Uprising instead of "future updates". |

This could be sort of fixed with an eject passengers button or even if it just automatically did that once armour is at zero. |

thats it? no WP for triaging or deploying? sure CRU WP help but not every DS needs CRU to be a transporter, we need deployment WP wich has a cap to prevent farming, like 8 deployments gives you WP every 100 secounds is a good start.
The triage (Sheild Transporter and Remote Repair Systems) needs to give points for a certain ammount OF HEALTH (note not time). |

idk, theres an alarm but if it kicks the pilot its a clear no, since the pilot can rep his armor and save his ship (1 of the advantages of the galante DS, yet the Caldari are still better  ). |

That's actually one of the things mentioned in the first post of the weekly updates thread. It was listed as "future updates" then, too. In September. They also acknowledged other wp ideas back in February.
I think we pilots have to accept that we aren't a high priority. |

But we're going to be getting fighter craft in the next build and the chance to respec our SP so maybe just forget about Dropships all-together and earn your WP by raining high speed death from above. |

Why not? Dropships are target practice now, and they aren't exactly cheap, so it's not like there isn't risk too. I'm sure there will be a cap to how much WP is awarded like the Repair Tool. |

We get war points for things like drop uplink spaws and nanohives and other easy crap, dropship piloting actually takes skill; especially considering how fragile they are, and expensive they are. Just because something doesn't involve shooting a someone with an AR doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a reward.
If it helps your team (like being a spawn point), then it deserves to be rewarded. |

if you think a vehicle thats ment for support that plays a huge role in the game (mainly retail) and has been here since day 1 of privet beta isn`t something to balance then yea. |

I entirely agree, I hate the shield dropships flying around with boosters just doing nothing.
I'd just like some points for getting people in and out of objectives alive, and maybe not lose points when my ship dies....or when people in my ship die...they hear the alarm, they see the flames, it's their own damn fault if they don't bail.

I'd love some feedback on the systems we pilots have been devising here, I want as many opinions as possible, to iron out the discrepencies. That would be awesome.
Add your own WP system too if you wish. More ideas would be awesome. I'll admit, I've run dry. I'm hoping there will be changes in Uprising which will mean I won't have to revive that thread. |
