Except the merc pack debate was never about getting an AUR refund, it was about getting the consumables re-credited, and that dev-blog only mentions items "in your inventory". That means items that have already been used are not included in the upcoming ISK/AUR refund.
The merc pack debate continues... even though I wish it would die
Edit: And I know what the EULA says, but the merc pack items must still be credited to characters come Commercial Release, unless CCP gives people who bought it something of equal value. |

I say don't know what they're going to do. I know there is going to be a massive price drop on quite a few aur gear and items post may 6th so I may say hold onto it as part of my advice. You may come out ahead post may 6th launch.

OK can some one please clarify? We WONT get back our AUR used on SP boosters. We WONT get back AUR spent on dropsuits and lost in battle. But we WILL get back our AUR spent on unused SP boosters? Does this mean the smart thing to do would be to load up on AUR gear before the respec so that we actually make AUR off this? Because from the looks of it if we don't spend our AUR on something then we would have the same exact amount of AUR after the respect as we did before even though the prices went up 2x. Or have I misunderstood?
ALSO: do you guys think we will get more or less AUR from a merc pack bought after the respect compared to before? |

Hey guys,
Just a quick note. We're releasing an updated version of this blog later today. It contains some slightly different information in it.
Additionally, we won't be removing any of the special items you got from events or anything like that. The reference to returning ISK or AUR value for items refers to anything that we determine is going to be drastically changed by our skill change system and might require removal. We do not have public details on that yet, but we will be posting a longer dev blog in the future which more-fully lays out these changes. |

Will you send everybody an email report of what have been deleted & refunded per character? You know, if you run a script on your MS SQL Server DUST_DB you can make it to report it's deeds in human readable form directly into our mailboxes on the go...
It could be two emails actually: #1 Initial audit before script (SP, WP, ISK, AUR, assets, skills) #2 Report of script actions and final audit of what remains after script (SP, WP, ISK, AUR, assets, skills)
Any chance? Thanx |

The reference to returning ISK or AUR value for items refers to anything that we determine is going to be drastically changed by our skill change system and might require removal. We do not have public details on that yet, but we will be posting a longer dev blog in the future which more-fully lays out these changes.
If for some reason CCP feels the need to wipe our SP to 0, DUST will be gathering DUST if you catch my meaning.

Still havent said whether the officer weapons will go or stay. I would like to hear a firm answer on this as some are holding on to them for PC. |

Just a quick note. We're releasing an updated version of this blog later today. It contains some slightly different information in it.
Additionally, we won't be removing any of the special items you got from events or anything like that. Really hope this means I can still keep my sweet collection of vanity dropsuits which are now unavailable. |

Think you guy's are reading more into than there is my take was if they remove an item from the game and hence your assets you will be reimbursed in either isk or aurum depending on what it is not that they are wiping everything from your assets. |

Your definition of 'clear' leaves something to be desired. The only thing that Eterne says with certainty is the special items received from events. The rest is based on your assumption which is anything but 'clear'.
Until they specifically state something regarding officer gear, it will remain in doubt. |

You forgot aboutQuote:(...)or anything like that(...) part Doesn't your "officer gear" qualify for "anything like that"? Why are you so doubtfull about CCP good will? |

That is purely an assumption because you want it to mean that.
I am guessing you are of the younger variety (not trolling). As people get older and deal with anything that has a contractual basis, they learn very quickly how important it is to have something explicitly stated. |

I don't want to be a stickler, but I'd rather heed the warning signs. Those will be kept, if you have 8 million with 2 million unspent skill points on the 5th youll have 8 million skill points unspent on the 6th. Good to know. Since they announced respec, I've been toying with new skills anyways. I don't understand how this isn't understood....you can only refundsomething that you SPEND. How could they give you back SP that you already have...? I swear you guys are all panicking for no good reason.
This postulation begs another more important question: WHY DO YOU HAVE 2 MILLION SP UNALLOCATED?
