Supply depos get abused in the game people just spam grenades or hide behind them they are literally impossible to shoot under or in between their cracks. I hate how people can just change suit after suit for the health with out any penalty also if someone uses say a nanohive and switches to the same suit he will get that nanohive back without penalty! (I believe) which to me is a broken system. "Things don't spawn out of no where" says ccp well they are here like the title of this thread says "supply depos are abused". |

Limit ressuply rate a merc can get in a certain amount of time once supply depo runs out timer starts up once timer reaches 0 you can once again take more ammo from supply depo.
Supply depo should take around 5 - 10 seconds to get in to and be in your next suit it shouldn't be an instant change.
Allow us to shoot between the cracks in those pesky depos and the space under them where we can see enemys feet.
Allow players to only change a certain amount of dropsuits per say 5 minutes
Stop recharging our shield and armor from the depo it's completely unfair and dumb
+1 if you agree supply depos are abused |

Not abuse, its use as intended. They don't spawn out of nowhere, they are replenished by manufacturing nanites. The switching fits is one of the tactical advantages that supply depots grant. |

So when you run up to a supply depo and switch to another fit and plop your in another fit thats not spawning out of no where. Plus CCP said things don't spawn out of no where well they are here feel like you denied all the facts of the post.... |

If that's the case, shouldn't the Supply Depot repair armor in the vicinity like it does vehicles? It does seem abit abusive when players can just keep switching suits to have 100% instahp.
Needs to be fixed imo unless we get a passive repair when in the vicinity anyways. |

I like the supply depot the way it is.It doesn't take long to blow them up.To get your suit repaired you have to change classes. Heavy has to change to logistic/assault/scout to get Armor hp to rise. And they are points of interest to both sides to fight over. They generate content as a flash point ingame. My Suggestion is to keep making your Clone better with sp.Sheild control/Field mechanics/Weaponary and squad up to generate content with your team and say to each other at the end of the game do you believe that (insert here) just Happened. |

Sorry, OP. Often times, the supply depot is the best way for a side to have what they need to beat an army of shield tanking assaults, or tanks.
A proto-assault getting gung-ho? Spam flux nades and M1s in his general direction, and push him back. A tanker trolololing about a stone's throw away? Make it rain Packed AV nades, forge rounds, and let the swarms fly without end. It's a crude means of resistance, but it works, and this makes Supply Depots high-value targets. |

As much as it pains me to say this, I agree that restocking on ammunition should be a manual process. Not because of balance, per se, but simply because supply depots should be a more immersive thing, and because if that happens nanohives will have to be changed so supply depots don't become underwhelming compared to them. |

Being able to switch fits makes the supply depot more useful than a big nanohive, if supply depot doesn't do it, then there needs to be a new installation for the purpose of switching fits IMO. |

I would be totally fine with this, as long as we can still switch fits. |

I don't argue that it shouldn't be able to insta switch suits, I argue that instaHP regen is bad.
When swapping a suit you should have the HP of the other suit based on a percentage. Switch from a scout with 10% Armor left? Get a heavy with 10% Armor left. Give Supply Depots the ability to rep suits at let's say, 5HP/s, making it fairer than switching to another suit for max HP.
I know it doesn't make sense when it comes to the whole, "well its a different suit so shouldn't it be fresh and undamaged?", but I feel it would make it a valuable installation but make it more balanced.

Would you rather have it that you had to enter the Supply Depot for ten seconds or so? I wouldn't mind that, so long as it could be interrupted somehow. |

I'd rather see a system where you have to actually activate the Supply Depot, so similar to the suggestion I wrote mainly concerning a Nanohive. Hold O on the Supply Depot, it takes a few moments, gives you the option to REFILL ALL or select a suit, selecting a different suit keeps your HP at the same percentage, so if we assume you have two suits, a heavy with 500 Armor 100 Shield and a Scout with 100 Armor 100 Shield, and you're in the scout suit with 20/100 Armor HP, full shields, when switching to the Heavy suit you will have 100/500 Armor, 100/100 Shields.
But to make the Installation a better defence point, apply a passive armor repair to anyone in it's current Ammo Refill AoE so it functions on Dropsuits like it does vehicles. |

This. A squad of dedicated swarm launcher/forge users is enough to take out supply depots in short order. The depots are tough, but they are not invincible. I was able to destroy a depot on my own with complex-backed militia swarm launchers in just under a few minutes. The key is finding a decent perch. |

Ok. The only things I agree in this thread are, the supply depo hitbox being weird and not representing the actual model and the suit changing for instahp.
Fixes:
Make the hitbox to represent the actual model, allowing people to get shot through under the depo. Make so that when you change classes you keep the percentage of HP you had. Being up to a 5m radius from the Depo will activate a passive armor repair.
I disagree with the rest of OP's concerns. Depos are not being abused, you cap granades. And you are not suppose to engage enemy when they are right next to the depo, they will have the upper hand. You either take them down from a distance or wait until they disband from the depo location.

I am fine with the resupply of ammo. I think the suit swap needs to take some time rather than be an instant change and the player needs to be vulnerable the entire time not the blink out blink back in we have now. Also if you swap fittings you should lose what you changed out of. Make them be a great asset but also have penalties and consequences to its use. |

add a 10 second "changing suit" period to the depots where you cant move. you get instant hp back and your new suit when youre done, but you'd be vulnerable while changing suits. this discourages people from camping on the depots. leave everything else about the depots as is. |

People used to say that using a dropship to get on top of Biomass was "abuse" and an "exploit" as well.
Emergent gameplay is what makes this game good. You're complaining that the enemy is using a captured installation as a tactical advantage. |

Not complaining about them being able to change suits or gain full hp by doing so, im complaining about the speed at which they can do it.
they shouldnt be able to instantly change their suits just like how you cant instantly change your clothes in real life. there should be a risk associated for anyone willing to basically change their clothes in the middle of a firefight. changing a suit should take time to complete is all. |

The Supply Depot is a tactical advantage for the side who has it. If you don't want them to use it, deny it to them. The mechanic works alright. The HP doesn't represent the HP of your clone, but the strength of the suit you are wearing so it makes sense that you get your armor back on switch. You fail to mention, though, that moment when they are open and vulnerable while nav'ing the Supply Depot menu. I find that a distracted enemy soon becomes a dead one. Ask all of the forge gunners shooting up at my squad's drop ship while I procede to run them all over. Anyways, hack or blow it up if they are using it. It allows relatively weak folks to fight and drive away protos and vehicles. I say keep it as it is, with only a minor change to the speed of suit change relative to the 'size' of the suit (scout-quickest, heavy-slowest).
