It never defines 'Nearby', is he 10m away from me? Is he above me?
Maybe, they should just appear on the minimap as a blue '+' this way we know how far they're away and if they're coming towards me, or running in the opposite direction.
Is there anyone who knows how close a Triage Unit has to be so you can recieve the notification? |

Yea, that way I can see if its worth risking my suit running across the battlefield to revive some MLT suit
I think we need more WP for revives, or atleast more WP if the player you managed to revive survives for more than 5 seconds. |

BUT I WANT MOAR!
I dont think Logibros get enough WP anyway, but thats probably because the Rep Tool was nerfed to stop boosting. |

What we need is more WP for actually being willing to skill into Advanced and Proto Nanite Injectors. |

agreed, you can use a militia nanite injector and militia repir tool and get WAY more WP then a proto nanite can ever get, it should award triage WP for advance-proto injectors, if you make a thread i`ll post there aswell (+1) |

I've been wondering if the triage unit detected nearby is a friendly or not. Somtimes it seems like it is telling me that there is one, but I only have reddots around. Does it know to differentiate between active bluedots with triage units or is it also detecting downed bluedots that happen to have a NI fitted? |

There really only needs to be one change.
CCP needs to devise a system to detect if someone has a nanite injector, and if someone goes down in an area not being covered by enemy fire, and that triage unit does not pick up said downed ally, just one thing needs to change.
A giant, clone eating hamster has to fall from the sky, and devour the failure of a triage who refused to not be stupid.

Just because you can't see any enemies, doesn't mean that triage unit didn't have good reason to not revive you.

You know just as well as I do what I'm talking about. Blueberries + Nanite Injector = Giant, clone eating, orbital drop Hamster.
EDIT: As to the Op, like others have said, second ring and inward on your minimap. |

The elevation is really something that needs to be taken into account. When I'm on a pipe well above someone, it's terrible to see someone calling for help because they think I'm nearby. |

The game should have multiple messages for that situation.
Message 1: Theres a skilled triage nearby, hold on!
Message 2: Theres a triage about but theres also reds, hold out and see what happens
Message 3: There is a triage nearby, however he's a muppet, sorry your screwed. |

I play as a logi, i do revive people as ling as they can wait for me to get there. When you go down, keep an eye on the radar and if you see a bluedot (the only bluedot) going in your direction dont respawn. I dont know how many times i go to revive someone and they decide to respwan as im injecting them.
If im near and i see the needle flashing i know that the prson is willing to wait for me to help them.

Both my characters fulfill multiple roles. That includes Logi Bro. When switching from Logi Bro to Heavy, for instance, this results in needle icons for Downers still being in my HUD. This used to continue throughout the entire match but is shorter currently.
This makes me suspect that the false positives Must be fixed first before giving the Downed Mercs hope that the Heavy moving towards them is not really a Logi Bro. |

Also take into account on how you've been killed. If you've been sniped then just respawn ASAP as other wise you're giving the sniper a potential easy couple of extra kills, the logi & yourself again.

This is why all squads need a logi & communication. It's been known for some logis, with the right fitting, to be able to revive a snipers kill and shield tank a few shots from the sniper. That said, it's not always worth the risk, it depends on the situation and potential advantages of saving said clone.
I always call out whether I will attempt the revive or not, at least in squad, but unfortunately I can't clearly communicate with the bluedots and my squad at the same time, without there being a cluster**** of chatter down my mic.
Like has been said further up in the thread, if logis or at least clones carrying an injector had different indicators on the map during the bleed out process, that would help better judge whether to stay down or not. The medic role is flawed, but I still regard it as one of the best medic systems, close to Resistance 2's co-op mode. |

There have been a LOT of requests for this since the beta started.
EDIT: Brink does medic notifications well. Shows on-screen indicators of location with distance markers for BOTH the medic AND the downed player.
Yea I agree. Tne info displayed in Brink would be an excellent addition to DUST |
