Re Warping Shooter

Seriously, If I dont get a reasonable and meaningful response, Im going to snipe in Dust 514 with MSR all my life.
So I have been looking for a loooong while about this, and the reason is simple, In the next patch we will be getting all our SP points refunded, and tbh, shooting stuff with my heavy isnt THAT funny anymore.
I want a tank to be skilling when I get all the SP back, but I dont know which type. I have been swimming in post saying armor tanks surviving OBS and Forge Guns shooting at them, then I go in a post that says about an armor tank backstabbing a shield tank and getting raped in 3 second by the shield tank.
Then I get that shield tanks have hardener duration for 10 sec and armors for 60 sec, but then someone says that AV nades f***** up armor tanks, so im going to say this once, get your **** togheter son! |

wait for next build
if things actually get fixed and some shield stuff get buffed it wont matter it will just be a matter of preference and skill will be a determining factor. |

if the gameplay stays the same how it is at the moment i would say go after shield tanks. Simply cause you get mobility, damage output, passive recharge rate and additional resistance against swarms and Av grenades (the most popular AV weapons). And 10 secs hardeners are fine cause thats allmost allways enough to get out of a sticky situation due to the fast mobility of a shield tank. Well you can 2 shot anything on this game with a sagaris railgun and 3 damage mods (railgun must be proto). |

Wait for at least the Uprising notes to decide. Then you can know what changes have been made. |

Tanks aren't fun to drive. They die too easily and are a waste of isk. I see less and less tanks on the field as time goes on.
If ALL tanks don't get a complete revamp I don't see myself putting points into them after respec. |

The devs have said vehicles in general, tanks in particular, and the specific area of tank vs. tank are all being heavily reworked with Uprising. |

I hope so. Railguns and blasters are pretty much the same technology yet one is a slowish machine gun and the other a super cannon. Missiles just suck, they're rockets with little explosion involved when shooting small targets. Something that big shoudnt hit all around a person and that person remain unscathed. |

Anyone can spend sp and isk to drive around a tank. Doesn't mean they're a tanker. I see less tankers.

Maybe because ots your squad rolling them
Hell i know your corp rolls them out, ive took enough of them out before
But in general tanks are not always around, sometimes you see the milita ones or even the AUR versions and LTD ones but it doesnt make them tankers normally because they dont know what they are doing and are using milita turrets |

Just judging by what modules go in what slots, you can say this-
Armor HAVs are tougher
Shield HAVs can deal more damage (vehicle damage mods are low slots, while shields are high slots) |
