The game changes so drastically, any assumptions we make that something in this build will be consistent with the next, could be the complete opposite.
So, let the useless+Ķess flood the forums, at least until FanFest. |

That's pretty much how I've been feeling, overall. Fanfest needs to happen now. |

Indeed give the man bacon!
Look at it this way, the less we post between now and then, the less the devs "have to" (could) read, and the more concentration they can put into the build/patch notes, drinking, eating bacon
I vote for a total shutdown of the forum until Uprising! |

wel.. it might not change as much as you are anticipating. I'd hate for people to get their expectations into a tizzy where CCP will fail no matter what.
But then again, I'd way more hate for CCP to deliver a dud. That would be like a gut punch. I could take it, but WHY!>!>!>!>!?
nah- j/k. I bet may 6th will rock incrementally, more than enough. And we'll just get hungry for the next build.
The two most devastating mistakes they could make are including the major bugs everyone has complained about for the last year as well as not allowing users a modicum of configuration of the controls.
If those two groups of issues are persistent after a year's worth of beta testing, then F it. I heard MAG got better after awhile but i never knew. no video game is immune to that fact of human consumption.
I'm rooting for them tho. We'll see :) |

Pretty much all feedback is useless anyway.
According to these forums, everything needs to be nerfed/buffed/removed completely.
We should all be running around in invulnerable suits throwing fluffy kittens at each other.
I hope CCP have the brains to ignore 99% of the nonsense posted here. |

I disagree, since we don't know everything that is changing, so feedback on current itterations can still give the devs a better understanding of our postions on the things we currently have. IE conversations are never a bad thing. |

frankly they listen to the numbers they are collecting more then any one post. How ever its hard to see every thing the numbers tell you, and easy to miss new and interesting ideas. Remember CCP has responded to member feedback many times in this beta.
so yes and no, Its still good to discuss really broken things or where your think ccp has ****** up big time(I'm looking at you spawn system) or cool(at least what you think is cool) ideas. that way they already are looking at that for the following build. |

Yes.
Our feedback now is useless.
Nothing we say can possibly be included in a future build that's still being worked on, and there's certainly no possibility that anything we bring up now could in any way be relevant during next build and still need work.
Yes, we probably have a lot of feedback right now that isn't going to be relevant after 6th of May, because it's been fixed, or about to be fixed, or the devs have changed something else that makes it not need to be fixed. But that doesn't mean the feedback isn't worth having, because until we see Uprising, we don't know what's already in the pipeline, what's considered a high enough priority to make it in before the build comes out, and what's unlikely to see a change unless we really go nuts about it. |

To be honest here, I think much of our feedback tends to be useless during the last few weeks before every new update. Once the update comes, suddenly all feedback becomes useful again until it becomes useless once again when yet another update is about to come around. I have noticed this pattern.
Try this out. Go to the feedback section of the forums and tell me how many threads you see there that keep bringing up the following issues that have been talked/addressed already for this build we are on?
1. skirmish stat bug 2. underpowered knives 3. underpowered missile tanks 4. lock ups 5. lag 6. unbalanced maps 7. same maps 8. hard-to-fly dropships 9. hard-to-drive LAVs 10. Questions on why we have a weekly SP cap
etc. etc. etc.
All of these topics keep coming up even though they have already been talked about. It's like players forget that there is a search function for this sort of stuff. |
