my alt WhyCantIDie would love to squad up with you and see who can knife the most people. I average at least 8 a skirmish (killed 5 in a row when I ran out of ammo with my AR 2 days ago). |

yo, ninjabro, I think you really effed up man.
Not just getting the gallente, but in how you load out your suit.
With the way damage output is on the wussie weapons (none nova knives), a scout suit can survive for a long time in cqc if it stacks shields. With that, plus quick slashes, you no longer have to sneak up on someone and get a lucky hit to get the kill. You can swing repeatedly and run around.
I have been running knives on my sidearm in this new build and I love it. because of the range nerf, I constantly find myself in cqc. My knives (adv) 1-2 shot just about anyone (not heavies) without charging.
Did I mention they changed spotting and scanning? Almost no one runs the scanning module, and spotting is unreliable too. This means a suit with no profile dampening can easily infiltrate enemy lines. It's actually to easy. You don't need stealth modules. Just speed and EHP.
Seriously, stack shields, and speed modules, and just sprint into the side of an enemy squad. If someone sees you, ignore them and go for someone who doesn't. Use strafe sprint to avoid enemy fire as you sprint into the fray. If they are engaging you're blue dots, the focused required to hit anything now and the chaos will ensure you at least get 2 kills before you need to sprint away.
Also flux grenades freak people out. freaked out people shoot wonky. Wonky shooters are easy kills. |

I think legacy might become dangerous if you learn how to use it, but it's so alien to how we've been playing games for years that it would take a while to relearn.
I think shield > damage mods because most of the time the damage mod isn't changing the number of slices to kill. With the ADV knives, it'll take 2/3 quick slashes to kill someone usually, and a damage mod won't change that 90% of the time. Shields though, will help you survive long enough to get those slashes in. Once I close to a certain range, no one can hit me consistently. If I can survive the few bullets they manage to land, then I get the kill.
I'm going to try running pure knives tonight. I will post my numbers. When I put up should be what you do at your worst.
Strafe Sprinting is amazing. |

Nova Knife wrote:I'm surprised, that the king of nova knives (despite my name, maken has bested me in our only showdown to date) has not commented on how completely overpowered the knives have become with the uncharged swipes and the incredibly overzealous aim assist on melee :P
What are your thoughts on the changes Maken, I'm curious!
I don't think they are OP (haven't used proto yet). They are still easy to miss with, though I might just have my sensitivity up to high. |

AV charged swipes would be awesome.
I don't think it needs a nerf. I think certain other things need a buff. I can run through a group of red dots, and if none of them has a TAR and can aim, I can knife 2-3 of them and run out before my shields pop. |
