I think more grenades could be placed into the weapon and/or equipment slots.
Switch active grenade type with wheel, setting wheel to a grenade selects that grenade for the next one thrown.
Proto suits all gain +1 equipment slot compared to adv suits. Heavies don't gain on, for good reason, they could get a second grenade suit to help proto heavy balance. The lower tier heavies are fine, but the proto gains less then other suit classes do. |

Let me explain since there are so many people buying into this idea.....
Scenario #1: Infantry with two grenade slots vs Sagaris. Infantry unit has AV grenades in one slot, and Flux Grenades in the other. Infantry throws his grenades alternately, meaning he throws a flux, then an AV, then a flux, etc. Infantry destroys proto tank with pure standard gear.
Scenario #2: Infantry w/ two grenades vs Surya. Infantry stacks two AV grenades, spams AV till Surya dead. STD wins again vs PRO.
You may say my examples are single minded, "a good tank driver wouldn't let infantry get close enough," you say. That's hardly the point. You shouldn't have to be an expert HAV pilot to prevent being insta-ganked by everyone and their grandmother. It's bad enough as it is when someone stands at a supply depot to spam grenades at a poorly placed tank, but now they won't need that supply depot just because they're carrying so many damn grenades. |

If what I hear is correct then we will have three levels of grenades: small, medium, and large. I was thinking that small grenades (S) could be something like Smoke, or any other kind of optical disruption device. Maybe even motion sensor grenade (that's a strong maybe btw).
Medium grenades (M) would be what we have now
And heavy grenades (H), I can't even speculate on a Heavy grenade but I imagine a boulder with explosives taped to it.
The system I have in mind goes like this:
Small frame suits get one grenade slot: This slot can hold (M) but it can also hold lower level grenades (S)
Medium Frame suits: I'm still not sure if assaults should get this ability but Logistics would have a (M) and a (S) slot. Meaning they can actually have two lower level grenades. (yes there is a possibility I may be biased to Logistics but it would be useful to the class)
Heavy frame suits simply get a (H) slot. That means they can put any kind of grenade on that they wish, (S) (M) (H). |

I don't see why not but make having a second grenade slot take up another slot, i don't want proto gear having 2 grenade slots and all the other slots as well. This could be a big problem as well because everyone would run Nanohives so they could spam throw the crap out of there grenades. Tankers would be mad because *boom* flux hits, shields down *boom* hit with a few av nades *boom* tanks gone. |

Multiple grenade slots? Please dont, AV Nades will be overkill then. |

I think it's a bad idea, as Flux grenades paired with either of the other two would be ridiculously overpowered. Combine that with the Fused grenades that CCP has, in their infinite lack of wisdom, decided to inflict on us again. Throw on a Nanohive for additional lol's, and watch as the whole game rapidly deteriorates. |

dust badger wrote:i think we should get rid of the grenade slot and class them as equipment like Remote explosives but then again this will mess up heavies as it will be unfair to give them an equipment slot EDIT: This Iron Wolf Saber wrote: 2 Use a 'OR' Fitting system, Thus a grenade could fit into a grenade slot OR an equipment slot. However equipment cannot fit into grenade slots.
Alternatively have a Grenade "bay" where you have a certain amount of room and can fill it with what ever grenades you want so sleeks and Packed take up vastly different space.

I'd be in favour of the grenade bay idea also. Let us customise our dropsuits as much as possible. Instead of making each grenade slot consist of 2-3 grenades of a single type give us multiple slots of one grenade each.
So for example, all existing suits would get 2 slots, each slot containing a single grenade. Skills might open a 3rd slot. Special 'grenadier' suits could contain say 5-6 grenade slots but would have to sacrifice the equipment and/or sidearm slot.
Grenade resupply rates from nanohives need to be lowered also to prevent spamming. BF3 had to do the same with ammo packs IIRC. |

It might sound cool, but there aren't enough grenades for this to be a good idea. Allowing you to have two of the three grenade types would actually kill diversity; instead of carefully picking which grenade you need and sacrificing the capabilities that the other grenades would give you, everyone will have some infantry grenades and some AV grenades. If and when more types of grenades, such as smoke grenades are introduced, then multiple grenade slots becomes a little better. Being able to carry two out of 3 grenade types is too much; carrying two of five types isn't too bad. There simply aren't enough grenade types now to provide enough distinct choices for multiple grenade loadouts. |

Very, very good idea. The problem is the controller uses too many useless buttons right now for us to cycle through them with any ease. I think one of the Dpad buttons currently isn't being used though? This is a prime candidate.
My suggestion is limiting multiple grenades to certain suit types, and make people choose between their current fittings, or a slightly weaker version with extra grenades (if their current fitting is tight on CPU/PG).
Fitting more grenades should be a tactical choice, not an obvious one. |

stupid idea.. how bout you waste more of our time? Maybe you should be getting behind some of the weapons that are broken instead of trying to figure out ways to make your char more OP?
