I tend to see some people playing Mario Kart on the starter ones, rocketing off hills higher than a North Korean missile. Are there some LAVs being used to good effects in some games or are they just powder kegs with wheels at the moment? Is anybody out there going doing a LAV focused build?

Chances Ghost Inf4m0us 37	Posted - 2013.04.08 08:35:00 - [3] - Quote i LOVE them, they are absolutly awesome racecars!! their control scheme is actually pretty awesome once you get used to it, ive even figured out how to drift around corners (although you lose alot of speed so its not really the same as drifting but it lets you control the directions comming out of tight turns) most people dont use the brake, or turn properly, or any of that... If you held down just the gas in a car and floored it and tryed to drive everywhere at max speed.... how far do you think you would get before you spun out or outright crashed into things?

You can still build something that will take a hit but they cost way to much as it is so its not a worthwhile investment for a first class. They are more something you would augment your class with later on as they cannot stand on their own 4 wheels as a combat veh or dedicated sp class. After you first class is rounded off then you can start building one, probably after about 14mil sp

For one -- I need a wider bumper module, because sometimes heavies jump away and I need to turn back to pick them up (Carmageddon514 game mode). Also dedicated gunner on decent blaster can do some proper damage. I usually gun, because I do not feel like I should be responsible for a manned ground vehicle yet. I hear (and see) people doing great things with Creo Methanas, but still ADV forge or swarm and you're gone. There is also one other thing that LAV is good for, but you must get to this yourself. :-) I like dropships better though, go figure.

ladwar Dead Six Initiative 99	Posted - 2013.04.08 09:56:00 - [10] - Quote yea chances are it won't do full damage(hp of LAV) and its a death trap if you don't get out fast enough or get cought before ramming it, still you can do it and pop av nades as they do more then any FG in DPS. the surpise is actually what helps the most and i find sneaking up on them planting a hive and watch the fireworks. but back to the OP yea free lav is basically the best way to go the others are just not worth it right now.

Your more then welcome to put it up against me and my forge gun with a starter lav or hell my hmg anytime seeing as how I have a good shot of knocking you out of the drivers seat with a well placed round or ramming you for a good bump and pump.

I will leave it to you guys to figure out what I used to get to that. :) limbus 2 active hardeners a repper, a plate 2xshield amp and shield charging booster(passive). my charybdis can take that but you said repair so im guessing armor type. but the real issue is how much do u help the team normally when it could cost more then what the match brings.

I only use top gear on my vehicles, and atm, my LAV survives the most per isk spent (since they nerfed my ds's active fuel injector). she costs me 415k every time she pops.
