Heavies are beasts of Armor, they can take tons of hits and shrug it off.
Their only problem is that they are slow.
Now, this IS a problem if they're using a heavy weapon like the HMG, but with an AR with sharpshooter, they can deal damage at medium-long range and be practically invincible.
Not to mention laser rifles, which are already bad enough with Logi's and Assaults.
So you can't out range them anymore.

Instead of complaining why not try and figure out how to take them out. I've never understood the whole nerf/everything is too hard group. So you die a few times, figure out why you died, work as a team and take him out.

Agreed. Dust is a classless FPS. Why do players always insist on hinting that anything unique about the game be removed and that it would be better if it was just much more generic and much more similar to every other game out there?

Having the ability to equip an SMG or sniper rifle on a heavy and lumber around the field trying use those weapons if I want is one of the big plus features of this game.

Few facts

1. For me is easier to get out HEAVY from my AR then adv/proto any other dropsuit. So you AR user you do this easy to me (and you do).
All hits can be placed at heavy. This is not 'equal' when you fight versus another dropsuits (we talk about AR weapon).
Now talk to CCP about dropsuit balances (not weapon) ... use search button if you never do.

2. When I meet heavy-HMG I dont have enough DPS to take him - fact. Only luck/skill/position/map can alow me to win close fight with heavy... if.

3. You miss your equiptment slot? Try :)

4. You can always go around map and dont jump or hit every rock/dune/wall... it is fun :)

5. HUGE HP.. is only ilusion when you read point: 1.

6. Heavy dropsuit is the worst dropsuit here. AR is not exelent weapon.. but it can be used. I still like both.

If scout can get eg. forge on it... it will trade all even movement speed (maybe get BIG hit box too?). So probaly nice combo too - to use.




I will probably play another dropsuit soon (new build). So dont worry.
