Before you cry nerf, make sure you know what hit you... Fiend you may be speaking about my laser... I have a proto suit...proto laser...3 complex dmg and 3 armor plates...you were in my sweet spot (120%) dmg on shields. and it may have been a head hit too.
Remember the laser has a sweet spot and does only 30% to anything within 50 or so meters. If I am off base and it was not me sorry. I just think it is easy to make the lasers as useless as missile turrets are I and doubt anyone wants that. |

The damage it does short term and long term has not been publicly tested. OP I meant no disrespect or insult using the words "cry nerf". If an adjustment in the direction of making a weaker gun is not your point, I am very confused by your post. I will be testing the laser next build...we did not test this build because we knew a tinker was coming. Please note mercs that the only difference between current lasers is the proto does 33% or 5 more points of damage than the basic and adv...which do the same. The over heat has a 4 "bullet" difference. basic overheats at 20 ...adv 16....proto at 12.
I have no idea what 20 damage means because it increases with time. What I can tell you is that when you get a pro using a laser or AR....they score the same. When you get a noob using it they score the sameish but die less...being further from the fight. This is a gemeral observation... no scientific sampling was done.
I try to identify OP by the weapon anyone can use and kill with.....and a pro using it will slaughter. This does not seem to be the case. I also could have 1 shotted you with a forge gun...sticking your head out.....nerf!!!! No... situations make some weapons stronger and some not. The laser rifle is not spammed for that very reason.
As for cooking the laser... Does anyone realize how much time and luck and ammo it tajkes to cook the laser somewhere with the hopes to pull it out in battle and get someone? That is a lot of variables. If you use the laser often... and you call for a change I can respect that. But let us aim assumptions and feelings at our wives, girlfriends, tv shows, mistresses, soap operas, and superiors and not in Dust 514. |

agreed But still not as easy as it sounds. The cooked laser is quite large and is not so easy to look around with it. Do not misunderstand me. I know the laser can be a beast...especially to shield tanked infantry. I agree anything we say or test is mute with a new build. But it is so easy to point out the pros without weighing in the cons...and a straight nerf to the pros will make this weapon a paper weight. |
