I only played a little Magic the Gathering. Not a bad game, but it had gotten so convoluted over the years that when I played in one small group we spent quite a bit of time arguing over what a card did. Not a bad hobby to introduce yer kids to if you want to nudge them into law. |

I tried warhammer 40k once, but it was way too expensive for me, I still read the books though, their some of the best sci fi/fantasy military books out there |

I'm not a big gamer..
I have PS3, that in truth I bought to play Dust so I have about 6 other titles, none of which I play really.
I have played DnD... WAY BACK, when a Commodore 64 a good computer.
I came to Dust via Eve, I have played that since just after beta, back in 2003 and have had the same account since I joined.
Never heard of any of those games, other than Warhammer, which I never played and DnD which I did play, but only cos computer games back then, were and white and the idea of a sci-fi space game was Elite. |

I have played Warhammer 40,000 and Magic the Gathering.
Interesting theory. The games have similarities
Dust players would surely enjoy Milsim paintball too. |

I'm a big tabletop RPG fan, but I mainly play FATE, specifically Edgerunner (but that's cyberpunk, not fantasy). D&D 3.x and Next (IMO) are good fantasy RPG systems though. |

Yhh.. now THAT is a game to enjoy. Also if combined with regular Munchking and it's expansions one can get some pretty hilarious situations. |

I still have and play D&D. Have all my players handbook, dungeon masters guide, monster manuals, etc... from 1984. Some of the gary gygax original run copies of these are worth a LOT of money. |

I played DnD once, it was awful(friend was DM'ing, and if things didn't go exactly the way he wanted to, then he tried to kill you)
still seems like it could be fun if you had more than one person to play with. |

still seems like it could be fun if you had more than one person to play with. That's a railroading GM, stay away from those. DnD (and other tabletop RPGs) are really fun if you have a group and a DM who's willing to make concessions to their pre-written story (or who make it up as they go, I usually GM that way). |

That sounds more like Eve players to me.
Personally, I haven't seen any reason to play D&D since the first Neverwinter Nights came out in the mid nineties.
Unless maybe I'll play if you have a reaaaaaaly good DM. But usually the DM is some jackarse anyway so computer games are better. |
