The push back you are getting now is the defiance of people to accept your needless rant to a question they deemed valid. Thats how opions work, they are deemed valid by the person formulating them.
Now the points you've made later in this thread are very valid:
"I'm not trolling I'm trying to arrive at some sort of actionable conclusion. I want a clear answer on what you guys are expecting for these ambiguous 'customizations'. What I've heard so far is people just want design fluff and not actual dynamically affecting and additive content. You have no idea that when you say 'customizations' CCP is thinking the same thing. They may think customizations means 'a different ACOG at each meta level'. Customizations could mean, Amarr ARs have better zoom than Caldari, while Minmatar HMGs are more suppressed than everyone elses. Then they'd say HTFU, we gave you a wide variety of different HMG variants why do you need something else...So in the effort of getting you guys to articulate your requests into actual programmable content.
Do you want...(pick one or explain exactly what you mean)?:
A.) Mostly more visual choices to weapons B.) Mostly stat based adjustments (through new modules) to current weapons C.) A complete overhaul to the ability to minipulate the first hand view, feel, and sounds of weapons? D.) Basically a fitting screen specifically for each weapon so that you have something like highslots and lowslots to fill for each and the requirement to buy and stock specific weapon modules rather than dropsuit modules?
Now what would you trade out of the next release in order to see this feature...(what would you scrap in the next release after uprising)...?
E.) Actual PvE content F.) Players battling over nullsec space G.) An actual player based market H.) New maps "
Dev resources are limited and other things are definitely more important for gameplay than wepon upgrades, but the mentality of people on the forums where they provide a hot headed HTFU response, is BS and can only be described as childish. Im not saying you are childish, and most of what you post isnt, but come on man, you could have posted your later points and saved this thread and made it a valid discussion.
I appreciate your later points and hope you continue to formulate logical, well thought out opinions as you have in the past. If we all stopped for a moment and tried to remain patient, we would all come away from the forums with less headache and more valuable feedback for the devs, and us. |
