As stated in the videocast thing we did yesterday this is something we are looking at adding, not for Uprising, but it is on our road map. We know it is needed and we want to add it.
CCP Nullabor's response to this during the video cast was that the first thing we want to get in is a player to player trade window type thing and then from there grow something bigger and better.
Especially with the fact that corporation battles will be dropping loot based on what players are actually using the need for this type of thing is growing.
So what I am trying to say, we know and we are working towards it. No ETA though. |

We need a player market. I don't see why it shouldn't be implemented - from the other thread that is saying don't add one. Already players can't run proto suits because of their skill level if its low. It would just sit there like you looted it. |

Hypothetically, how much programming would be required to do 1 on 1 trading?
The Left and Right hand trading style?
For instance their are two boxes that appear when two players want to trade.
In one box, one player places money/items and quantity while the other player does the same in the other box. Both boxes can be seen by players so they know what they're getting. Once both players accept the deal, the two boxes switch, giving the player the items/ISK that was in the other box. Changes made after one player accepts the deal, nullifies that player's acceptance so they can't get screwed.
I'd just like to know if 1 on 1 trade could be implemented before a whole open market/ possible. |

this is a great idea but also a horrible one benefits: EX. a prototype heavy gets a prototype assault and can trade it for more prototype heavy suits to help him isk shortages will disappear as so will skill point shortages
cons: it will probably break factions into several smaller ones war between gallente and caldari might start their fighting all over again rivalries might start changing every bit of EvE's future

So what I am trying to say, we know and we are working towards it. No ETA though. Why not? Why no ETA? You have an ETA, you have a roadmap. What you mean, it seems, is No ETA that we are willing to disclose.
Ok, why not?
CCP what is wrong with the concept of talking about these things with beta testers? I am not even asking you to disclose the ETa or roadmap. I am simply asking for your reasoning in being so restrictive with all of this info.
Is it because you don't want to steal content release thunder from people who are supposed to be writing blogs or doing video interviews? Those people aren't telling us anything either btw
Is it because you don't want to say, for example, trading before Fall 2013 and then have production delays cause player disappointment? Please say this is not the case...you guys never deliver 'on time'. Not telling us when that is doesn't help.
I would just love to hear a reason for the info blackout. On this and many other issues. |

Ouch
Not even a chance to see simple Player to Player trading with uprising? Hell I'd be fine in corporation trading.

This. Some form of trading is seriously needed. |

If uprising is suppose to be the full release, without a trade or sell fuction it's basicly just another beta update.
In my oppinion we should atleast have a sell button, that when pressed you can sell it for 70/80/90 % of the items fixed value. In most games this is the case. And a player market can always be added later on. I just want to be able to sell stuff i don't need anymore, get some isk back from it and buy better gear, that's what most of us want. And if other gaming companies can do this i'm sure CCP can do this aswell. Besides you allready have the basic model for it. when we buy stuff for a fixed price and select the amount we want, except now instead of buying we call it selling and we recieve isk instead of pay. It should not be so hard.
Not to mention player to player trading is fine for people who are in corps, but those of us who are not, would like a simple funtion like this. Otherwise its like i said just another beta or alpha, whatever you want to call it. |

Shame is that we were hinted with more "soon" stuff than "soonGäó" i can dig CCP_ETERNE saying it's coming very soon in february for instance. You guys need to be more clear when announcing stuff highly expected... Or at least make a clarification when you see people starting to plan and discuss stuff "for next build" when there's no chance it will be available then.
Just my 0.02 isk.

^ And this ^
I know nothing about programming but that should have been added first hand, as soon as salvage was added in closed beta. NPC selling can't be that hard to implement. I get that player to player stuff, even simple, may need more work. But basic sell function ? |
