Deployed hives for ammo is all well and good, but lets face it stationary squads are a grenade spam away from bleeding dry. Mobile squads run dangerously low intentionally to conserve hive for the sake of longevity, some times even crossing half the map to see if their hive is still on the ground.
What i propose is a new remote tool for our Logibro's, its not game changing. Its not game breaking. What it is however is a unique alternative to whats available.
Current Nano Hive -Ammo -Ammo and armor- Returns Armor first then Ammo
Potential Variants that would not break the game... As it exists. The Array would have a nano limit of something like 10,000 and have a reload of another 10,000. Where forge rounds for example would consume ~30-50, AR would consume ~2-5, and armor would consume 1.
-Ammo- Array only replenishes Ammo each second based on targeted LOS. Faster then a Hive.
-Ammo multiple simultaneous Targets- Refer above, for more then one target.
-Ammo and Armor- The Array would replenish Ammo and a small amount of Armor per second. Faster then a hive slower then a Repair Tool.
-Ammo and Shield- The Array would reduce the shield recharge delay by half for every .5 second it is active and return Ammo
-Ammo Armor/Shield multiple simultaneous Targets- Refer above, for more then one target.
-Ammo, Armor and Shield- The Array would VERY slowly return health. Return ammo slightly slower then a hive, and reduce the Shield recharge delay by half for every .5 seconds on target. I honestly do not see this multi-tool being very popular. but as an option it would be nice
-Ammo, Slow self return- You regenerate Ammunition slowly and passively in addition to being able to actively replenish others, At standard speed. I see this being the popular choice with Scouts, Assaults and MD Logi. the way you balance this is giving it a smaller capacity something like 4,000 X 3 units (2,000 to 800 AR rounds) instead of 10,000 X 2. Allowing it additional functionality at the cost of longevity.
Personally I think this would be a fantastic addition to existing tools. What about you guys? |

A handheld tool for logis that can actively replenish ammo while on the move. This sir, is brilliant. I always seem to be looking for a hive, running around or needing to stay in its area is a pain.
I like the thought of the tool having a set "clip" of nano's and that different ammo types have different nano values for replacement. This part of the idea keeps it very balanced and reasonable.
I would wonder if people would replace their repping tools for this? or would you carry both? I would love to see all the folds that this would bring into a logi's fits and the utility for the team is undeniable.
Good idea, would love to see the community do more of this, instead of the gloom and doom and crying and BS that the forums have been innundated with as of late...

I like it a boatload. Only thing I think is that you should be able to refill your nanites on this by standing near a supply depot. Nanohives, however, will not replenish them. |

I could see an advanced logi carrying remote armor rep and remote ammo/ shield array with something like a needle or Uplink in the third slot. No tool redundancy and bonus functionality. Sounds like a winning combination. |

What do you think about targeting nanohives to replenish them as well? It would be nice to be able to prolong the life of a hive that has been well placed. |

+1 How about mobile supply depot fitted to the drop ship? It would allow to restock your suit or change suit while in battle. Could be fitted to the DS just like mCRU already can be. |
