"Hello DUST 514 Community!
My name is Free Healing. I am the CEO of Logistic Operations and Tactical Infantry Solutions (L.O.T.I.S.). Some of you may already know me, some of you maybe not. I care a lot about the DUST 514 Community and about the growth and longevity of the game. I've been trying to help the community with forum posts and generally being helpful. However, I now think I may have stumbled upon a neat idea and a way to give back to the DUST 514 Player Corporation Community. I will proceed to give you the details of this idea below.
The Idea:
The Idea is, to provide a select group of Player Corporations with the option to pay L.O.T.I.S. a small fee to set up practice matches. Bear with me, I know that sounds like I'm trying to take your money, but I promise you it's not JUST that.
Firstly, I've noticed that there are a lot of Corporations out there that WANT to compete in Faction Warfare and hold Corporation Battles for their Corp. members but DON'T because they feel they cannot compete with the Gear, SP Level, and Corporation Battle Experience of other Corporations. I believe this system I would like to implement would give them an option(s) and allow them to hold events against us for their Corporation Members.
With that said. This service that L.O.T.I.S. is providing is for Player Corporations that are not ranked within the Top 100 of existing Player Corporations as listed by the DUST 514 in game Leaderboards. It is my personal belief that once you are ranked among the top 100 Corporations you are fine and do not Need help. This number will however, based on response from the Community, may be edited. Now again, I realize this may sound like we are trying to gank small Corporations for their ISK. I give you my word, for what it's worth to you, that this is not the case.
So, what will this service COST your Corporation? The answer to that is 2,000,000 ISK. Some of you may think that is a lot of money for the Corporation ranked 15th Vs. Corporations ranked lower than 100, and I am inclined to agree. However, this is a service we are providing. There is nothing stopping you from posting a regular 1 Million Contract and us from taking it and doing our best to take it from you using our best gear, this is different from that. If you would like to pay for our Service, you have options available to you:
-Size Matching:
A lot of Corporations who would like to participate in Corp. Battles just cannot field 8 people at one time, but would still like to give some of their player who ARE on some Corp. Battle experience. So, if you let us know before hand how many people you will be fielding into the battle we will field NO MORE and NO LESS than the number you specified, unless it is changed at a later date to accommodate late arrivals. This way, we will ensure that the match is balanced, and you are not overpowered in number.
-Gear Matching:
A lot of Corporations members do not have the same access to gear that other Corporations do, and that is one of the things that keeps CEO's and Directors out of Corp. Battles even though they'd like to participate. If you enlist this service from L.O.T.I.S. we will match Gear with you according to the table below, that you get to pick from.
Legend:
MLT = Militia
STD = Standard
ADV = Advanced
PRO = Prototype
Dropsuit - MLT - STD - ADV - PRO
Weapons*** - STD - ADV - PRO
Equipment - MLT - STD - ADV - PRO
Modules - MLT - STD - ADV - PRO
LAV's - MLT - ADV - PRO
HAV's* - MLT - ADV - PRO
Dropships* - MTL - ADV - PRO
*The Weapons Category Includes Grenades.
*There is no MLT option for the Weapons Category since there are weapons such as the Mass Driver and Laser Rifle that do not have MLT versions.
*Both Small and Large Turret Options fall within the Weapons Category.
*You have the option to request that neither side field HAV's into the match.
*You have the option to request that neither side field Dropships into the match.
Simple pick your desired level of gear that your Corporation Members will be fielding in, for each category, and we will match you and field the same. We cannot do anything about Skill Points unfortunately however, but at least you will know that we will be on equal ground as far as Gear goes.
NOTE: Aurum Weapons will be categorized as according to their TACNET Classification. Which means a "Killswitch" GEK-38 Assault Rifle, even though it exists in the Market place under the ADV Weapon Category, will be classified as a PRO weapon.
NOTE: If one of the members of the enlisting Corporation "accidentally" fields something outside of the rules of engagement, such as a PRO Tank when only MLT Tanks are allowed. They will have 2 Minutes to either:
A.) Commit Suicide
or
B.) Send a message to the L.O.T.I.S. director that set up the match, stating that it was an accident and that the player responsible will not be using said gear in the match from that point on.
Failure to comply with those options will be taken as "Intent to Gank" and we will respond in kind as detailed below. Naturally, assuming the enlisting Corporation chooses Option B, should a member of said enlisting Corporation state that they will not use the Gear that was brought in by accident, and then proceed to use it in ANY fashion (which means destroying something or providing intel on our forces from the sky.) will also be viewed as hostile "Intent to Gank".
-NO REDLINING
We will ensure that the enlisting Corporation maintains control of 1 Objective at all times, to provide them with a forward Spawn, and will not Camp said Objective.

-Tactical Feedback.
We will always have at least one experience Director in the match who will be watching your team carefully and by making observations on your Corporations members, movements, employed strategies, and will offer analysis and feedback on what you guys did right, and what you did wrong. As well as ways to overcome the various scenarios that may take place during the battle.
-Private Matches.
Matches that are enlisted by target Corporations will be completely private. The records of these matches will not be shared publicly in ANY fashion.
When you consider all of these things offered together 2 Million ISK doesn't seem like a whole lot. But it does get better.
As stated before, the match cost will be 2 Million. Which means the Contract will be for around 4 Million ISK after both side put up the 2 Million Collateral. However, if you manage to beat us fair and square, we will let you KEEP the 2 Million as a congratulatory reward. This outcome will also be possible since I will try and give our L.O.T.I.S. new recruits a priority for field deployment.
Now, I know that already, some of you "Sneaky" Corporations are planning to gank us by trying to bring other Corporations to fight your battles for you, and take 2 Million from us. And some of you may even by thinking of giving us false intelligence about how many players and what level gear you will be bringing into the fight. We will have members on standby during the battle to field in the event that you bring in an outside Corporation, or field more members than what we were previously told. And in the event that you are not truthful with us about the Gear that you have brought into the fight, we will up our gear to whatever level we please and treat the fight as a normal Faction Warfare battle. In the event that you are successful, or not, with your gank you will have received 2 Million from us, but you will also be BLACKLISTED by our Corporation and no longer able to request this service we are trying to provide to the rest of the Community. Please try not to ruin this for everyone. I would like to see this service become something great.
So in Summery:
L.O.T.I.S. will be providing, for the Player Corporations below the 100th mark on the DUST 514 Leaderboards:
-Gear Matching
-Size Matching
-NO REDLINING
-Tactical Analysis and Feedback
-Outcome Privacy
For a total of 2 Million ISK which could be won by Corporations that emerge victorious.
These battles will be based on Appointment only. Matches must be scheduled with at least 3 days notice, and only 1 Corp. will be allowed to enlist this service a day at a time. (which means if Corp. A books us for Wednesday, and then Corp. B tries to book us for the same day, he will be have to be moved to the next available day.) Appointments can however be made for multiple times in the day. This means that if Corp. A wants to book us for wednesday, he is allowed to book us for multiple fights on wednesday, but not on following days, if he should choose. Some weeks, we may offer discounts.
L.O.T.I.S. Corporation will not be held responsible in any way for actions taken by non-L.O.T.I.S. members during, or outside, of these private matches.
L.O.T.I.S. Corporation will however be responsible for it's own members and, if you feel that you have been cheated in anyway or can provide proof that a L.O.T.I.S. member did not follow the Rules of Engagement, under certain circumstances will have your ISK refunded.

I doubt the other side will restrain themselves from redlining you guys. Matching your gear is good enough. If you beat them whilst using the same gear, you should redline and utterly destroy them.
Corporations won't learn that they're horrible and should get better if, at the end of the day, they tell their other members "we held one objective against a corp. in the top 20 on the leaderboard". They will if they're forced to admit that "even when all of us were using militia gear, we got redlined and kittened."
You need these corps you wish to provide a 'service' to to hit rockbottom face first, because then and only then will they see that there is no where to go but up. |

That's the thing though, most Corporations have already hit that rock bottom and they don't know how to get out. The thing about Redlining is that it's the best defense for the ones doing the redlining. You don't learn anything from getting "Stomped on" by a Corporation that is out of your league. You just learn, "They're out of our league." By providing a forward Spawn point they have more potential for learning. Now, if one of them insists on us redlining them so they can practice getting out of a Redline, then that's up to them.
And they can't say "Well we held an objective against a Corp. in the Top 20" if the entire populace knows that it's a rule that we let them have it so that point is kinda moot 
This service is to provide them with fair and honest training. Not to prove our superiority.

Not to prove our superiority. I sort of loke what you are proposing but the no redlining isnt going to help the smaller corps in the long run . I would put a clause in your contract where you have an officer from your corp to join your cloents side as an adviser only thusly enabeling you guys to help teach them how to pull past a redline that would be more advantageous to the corp that you are helpong instead of pandering them . Just my 0.02 isk (redlining is never good but pulling a team out of one feels awesome) Keep the faith.

Ps the redline posts are presumong your clients are really bad . My corp has only been redlined once and we learned from that experience (drop uplinks are the key) I do hope this works as the better the players the better the game. Every corp must face defeat before they can succede unless your a corp full of chuck norrises |

I'm really liking all the newbie training things springing up here. It's a great thing.
This in particular sounds fantastic - I don't know how much it'll help tbh because I have no experience of corp battles yet, but this is a really friendly sounding service.
2 million doesn't seem expensive at all, either. If I thought my corp would benefit from this (not dissing your service, we just don't really have the manpower) I'd pay for it myself multiple times from my own wallet. |
