Am I the only one that is NOT complaining about waiting for the next build. Even if it was another 6 months I would still be satisfied with what this game is offering. I don't see what is making people ''bored''. |

The game may be the same but I've noticed the change in players. Newbs getting better and players using different tactics. |

To me the current features puts it on par with other FPS games so the only reason I want another build is that hopefully a lot of bugs will get fixed (specifically the reload bug); after that waiting won't bother me a bit. |

The only reason this game isn't considered really good is because of the bugs and glitches.
Fix those and this game is on par with every other amazing shooter |

You think it has bugs and glitches now wait until this next build with Planetary Conquest added. The whole point is there will always be bugs and glitches but hopefully they will continue to add more content and fix things in a timely manner the game will grow, if CCP turtles too much to achieve perfection on every feature then many FPSers we lose interest quickly. They must maintain a balanced approach

all the bug and glitches don't really happen if you us a wired connection . it just the wireless that has the lag , drops, and reload bug . it is not the game in the connection that is the problem i never have any problem unless i use a wireless connection like at my friends . |

What makes me bored at the moment? Well the small scale interaction and the fact that I'm a PC gamer who gets to sink my teeth into deep gameplay like Planetside 2 and (while it's harder to compare) ARMA 2. I've got high expectations from games. :)
Now the main reason for me touching a console shooter is the link with EVE. I love the potential of this game and the more I see being released, the bigger my smile gets. And I'll be sticking around for the entire journey, no matter how impatient I seem. :) |

Connection might have something to do with it but it most certainly is not just that. I've never had any reload bug in any other online FPS; therefore a bug within the game itself is at least partially to blame.
Also: "if you us a wired connection"
Easier said than done. I live in a split house apartment and the landlord only wants one line running through it and the people downstairs have it. I have no other choice but to use wireless. |

Some of us HAVE been waiting for 6 months + for a new build. December was mostly back-end stuff with a change to these iron sights. October is the last time I've seen any new real content.

Wired connection doesn't actually help that much. I plugged my PS3 directly into my router a while back and saw no improvement.
As for myself, I have high hopes for DUST, even as someone who doesn't really like first person shooters. I hope to use it as a way to explore New Eden from an on-the-ground (or 40m off of it, more accurately. I like flying), so I'm desperately hopeful for some exploration options.
We can already see the capabilities for a deep and amazing shooter here. Staccato gunfire as behemoth tanks roll by and aircraft zoom overhead, complex fitting options, and a plethora of strategies, not to mention the promised capabilities not yet delivered (still waiting on capacitor for vehicles).
Add to that the political intrigue of New Eden, and the potential that DUST has to upset the entire landscape of the universe, and I'm pretty stoked. DUST could completely change 0.0 politics by introducing to capacities to harass or even conquer enemies. What if you could land a team of DUST mercs on a planet and disable local chat for a day? What if you could reduce the production of rare minerals on moons? What if they were able to nix the sov change systems which so drastically favor a defender as to make conquest impossible, and replace it with combined assaults on land and space?
There is the potential for so very much cool stuff, and I definitely want to be around when it becomes real. |

This is a 4 map lobby shooter with a couple of weapons.
There are no lava planets, there are no racial suits, there is only two races of MCC and maps don't generate one time for your land mass so there is no feeling of place.
There is no RTS mode where you place buildings during combat
There is no fighter jets and robot mech suits.
Weapon mods are broken
Resistance mods are broken
You can't see eve players in the skybox yet
Everything is going to change full up, making playing right now for the past 5 months of the same stuff boring |

I'm not complaining about the present game anymore, because I know there's no point in tweaking, changing or adding anything to this build. Therefore I don't expect anything but nerfing and screwing around to take place over the next month.
Now if the new build contains the same lack of content, then I'll be a little disappointed. 4 maps is less than half what other mediocre games have, and they are strictly populated by rocks and blocks. 2 game modes wouldn't bother me, that's enough, but the gameplay is really lacking fun factor, and creative elements that create unique interactions. The reported promises in the new build should satisfy me for a long time, provided they actually bring them. |

the messed up part is that most of the people asking for a new build can't even define 'new build'. maybe if they knew what they were asking for they could get some more satisfying responses. |

Those "other shooters" are not all bugged out. You dont hardfreeze and blackscreen on COD of BF.. your also rewarded for playing those games instead of AFKing. I know fanboys, its "just a beta".. you can STFU with that now.. we know. but just because this subpar graphic bugged out micro freezing match shooter has you all wide eyed doesn't mean everyone else is going to be all fanboyed out over some bad graphic match shooter that rewards ppl for afking instead of playing. kudos to you for being so easily entertained. |

Never had any of that. And I can't believe you're playing a shooter to be "rewarded". You shouldn't play a game to be rewarded - if that's what you want, go to a casino. You should play a game to be entertained. If you're bored by a game, then you should realise that this game just isn't for you, and you should go play another. Like CoD, or BF. If you find yourself AFKing "just to stay competitive"... Well. You're bored of the game. Go find a game that you can remain competitive on without being bored out of your mind. Simple.
Oh god, I said I wouldn't do this. Kay, last one, promise. Not going to get dragged into these arguments again. |
