But it's been stated that Eve players in the same corp or alliance as a corp fighting in PC will be providing OB support, even though this is not Faction Warfare. This says to me the fact that this is not FW is irrelevant to the question - or is my understanding incorrect and you mean to say that corp and alliances will not be able to provide OB support in PC?

Question 1:

Will Eve ships be able to patrol the area around allied planets and destroy clone transports to cripple a attacking corporations ability to attack the planet?

Question 2:

Will Eve ships be able to attack warbarges in order to prevent or hinder attacks on a planet?

As for Faction Warfare, the clone system is totally unrelated to that aspect of the game. All we know so far is that in future, DUST players will have the option to choose sides when entering FW battles.

The tldr is that faction warfare battles are moving away from corps and going to the mercenary tab in the battle finder for anyone to join. You will be able to choose a side and see them on the map, as well as the ownership of districts changing hands when you win or lose.

nope, i play well enough that i can get away with using standard gear and be one of the top players in a match(well used to, propotypes in pub matches may present a problem now)

they really do, but i should be able to use adv logi suits after a couple of matches so im good

Sir any gentleman knows that the proper procedure when dueling is that the combatants turn their backs to each other and walk 10 paces away, what you're suggesting would mean that this duel (we english can spell things properly) would no longer be a duel, but simply a fat man shooting an honorable one in the back.
