They should take kb/m out of the game at least that way everyone is on an even footing. The fact of the matter is kb/m is superior in FPS for numerous reasons.
To all those people who's response is 'buy a kb/m', it's simply not practical for a large number of people. Most people will have their console set up next to a TV in a comfortable living room/bedroom environment, not at a desk.
At the end of the day this is CONSOLE game not a PC game. Having kb/m support just splits the community. |

At the end of the day this is CONSOLE game not a PC game. Having kb/m support just splits the community. Get rid of KBM native support, and I will just use a XIM, which does the same damn thing. There is no way in hell I'm playing this game without my KB/M. I can't take any shooter seriously without it.
Go play the multitude of PC shooters out there then where almost everyone will be using kb/m if you think using a controller is below you.
In competitive FPS tournaments how many people do you see using a controller?
no one, the fact of the matter is kb/m is superior to controller for FPS play.
Allowing a group of players to have a superior control mechanism over the majority of players is a decision from CPP that I simply cannot understand.
Also using a xim against ds3 players to give yourself an unfair advantage is seen as cheating in competitive console gaming and is usually outright banned.

Its not like these people are being allowed something that you cannot have. How hard is it to simply find somewhere to set the kb/m.
Your missing my point, I for example have my ps3 set up next to my TV in my bedroom, In order for me to use a kb/m I would have to move my tv and ps3 onto a desk to play Dust and then move them back again if I want to watch TV. I'm sorry but it's unrealistic to expect players to do this.
I have a good gaming mouse I play on my laptop with so its not a case of me not being able to use a kb/m proficiently. It's more of a case that you cant expect players to be setup for kb/m on a console.
I understand why some players want kb/m as it is better for FPS, however allowing some players to gain an out of game advantage is unacceptable, especially when planetary conquest arrives and results really start to matter.
Finally the fact that the aiming and movement on the DS3 is currently clunky and imprecise in Dust 514 further compounds the issue and widens the gap between kb/m and controller.

If you want same or almost same results as a Kb/M user you are basically forced to go Kb/M or quit Dust514. We need filters for this. For matches with Kb/M , controller and AUR items.
Or just remove kb/m support entirely.
If you enjoy the game you can continue to play with a controller and everyone will be on a level playing field. |

That's the point I'm trying to make, you can use a mouse for more precision. What about players who aren't setup for kb/m, should they be at a disadvantage accuracy wise for playing with the controller?
I just fail to to see how having kb/m support allows for fair gameplay for all players

Translation: Quote:It is inconvenient for me to improve my performance in this game, so I am going to whine about it. Here's what I did when faced with the incredible dilemma of cords: I solved it. First with a folding table and chair close to the TV. But eventually I just moved the ps3 into my office and plugged it into my monitor at my desk. BUT KA24DERT, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT'S BLU-RAY TIME!? Well Timmy, I just move the ps3 back to the living room, and reconnect all 2 cables. Just get over it dude. If you don't want to be competitive, then you won't be competitive, simple. Whiners and defeatists have no end to their excuses.
So your basically stating that I need to use a mouse to be competitive and if I want to be competitive I have to move my PS3 and TV to a desk each time I want to play Dust.
I'm sorry but this clearly to much of a ball ache, so yeah i'll keep 'whining' as you put it.
I get a feeling that kb/m users simply do not want to be on a level playing field as the majority of the player base. |

If you want to be able to fight a KB/M user, you need to get a KB/M. If you find that too 'complicated', that is on you.
You have the option, you refuse to use it.
Have you even read any of my posts
