What an Unreal mistake with the OB at 13.45 ... They could have win it if it was on C and not just behind...

I don't think that's a valid excuse for losing, they lost to a better team. I thought they had a nice thing going on the pipes but they wasn't very effective with that plan. they should have had lasers on the pipes, instead they had assault riffles which is a bad tactic. AR is good at range but those pipes are built for support. They were making good pushes for A but they kept pushing 1 flight of stairs and it became very predictable very fast. only 4 times did I see someone use the other flight of stairs on A, and even then was easily handled by the shotgun. if it was a HMG I don't think A would have been held for so long.
I think after unreal got off the pipes, they didn't have any sort of plan (For A) and were just trying to get them with numbers on a very narrow stairwell with pfb on top with nades.
poor display of nade use though, throwing nades when you couldn't see a marker. That cost the camera man a few times. |

I saw a LOT of solo running on the PFBHz side while Unreal made more use of concerted pushes and team tactics. I think the bunnies, being such strong individual killers, have developed bad habits on squad level tactics.
On that map, the team that takes B takes the win. It's very easy to overwatch C from B, while A has relatively low strategic value.
All in all, I'm impressed with Unreal. We all know PFBHz are world class. By doing so well against them, Unreal showed that they too are a strong corp.
Now, when corp battles are expanded, team and squad level tactics will become much more important. Then we will have to find out all over again who are the best corps and who just has good gun game. |

If you are so confidant in our lack of tactics why don't you teach us a lesson and put some ISK on the line while you're at it?

Just expressing what I saw. I thought I was being helpful, actually. No need to get all up in arms. I have publicly stated that PFBHz are the best corp in Dust many times, and I stand by that. But everyone has room for improvement. I was looking at the radar more than watch Tryhard fight. He's good but I can't learn anything from watching him. I was interested in the tactics used by both corps. Kinda wish one of you guys would have spent the entire match looking at the map, and recorded it. Would have been really interesting.
As for the challenge, V4H would only get trounced. We don't have enough skilled players to do more than lose eff tons of isk to you. Corp battling you guys would serve no purpose other than to teach my guys how far they have to go to compete with the likes of you. As it stands, a lot of your guys could solo an entire squad of ours... so tactics are out the window.

If you watch the match and know how good PFB really is you will notice that they didn't expect much of a fight. They treated it like a pub fight which is evident when they went for the redline instead of holding 2 objectives on that map.
PFB admitted they didnt' expect the match they got which means the result was much closer then is should have been.
unreal just another group of pub-kid-try-hards when it comes to corp battles. It's obvious by unreal's pub strategy of zerging which doesn't work against good players and teams.
Also E'cplise owes PFB an apology for going negative at 8-14 while rolling in proto/officer gear. |

While it's true V4H still has a long ways to go, it can be said that you guys have also already come a long way from just a couple months ago.
Sometimes playing and losing teaches you a lot more than just "we have a long way to go." It also gives you a first hand experience of the type of teamwork and game play that is required to achieve that level, as well as new ideas of what you can do better and improve on. Which is why it blows my mind that there aren't more corps out there that are willing to take a lickin to learn a lesson. |

Did you not watch the C retake? All organized and planned, and everyone in unreal was using officer weapons. Without those damage modded up balacs it wouldn't have been as close. |
