I was at a climbing competition last year. None of my friends or family showed because this was out of town. I was struggling on a route in round 2 elimination. I was on the last move and about to fall, I really wanted to give up! Then I heard cheering and they were calling my name! I thought it was a suprise visit from my family. I wanted to push through and see my family! When I was done I saw who was cheering me on.
It was everyone, even my competitors. They all wanted me to succeed, nobody likes to see people fail in this sport. Probably because if we fall it will result in i jury or death. Still,mI was overjoyed to see the wealth of support for me in a town I had never been to by people I just met. |
