In short, what are they even for? I run flux grenades on my shotgun scout just to test them, and I really can't seem to make them work. My thinking was that if I came up behind a group I could grenade them, eliminating their shields and then get reliable OHKs with the shotty. But they don't ever seem to hit, their explosion radius is too small, so most of the time people just move a couple of meters away and they're golden. Granted I'm not the best with grenades (I've had a fair few incidents of killstealing myself from the other team), but the success rate I'm getting with these things is awful. The only other use for them I can think of is taking on shield tanks, but if I'm going tank hunting, I'd rather take the AV grenades, unless flux grenades do god tier damage to shield tanks.
tl;dr I'm bad with flux grenades. How I get good? |

um... shotgun doesn't need grenades, but imo you should use a better weapon (like an assault rifle).
Flux grenades are fantastic. Just practice on a supply depot or something I guess? I'm not sure what to say other than throw them and win :x
You don't even need to cook them =/ |

Stripping the shields off complex extended proto assaults isn't useful? |

Well, off of what I've heard from the fluxxers in my Corp:
The flux grenades have a slightly larger blast radius than a normal grenade.
They go through Walls (Sometimes?) or thin barriers.
The fuse time on Flux Grenades is 2-2.5 seconds after it hits the ground, or any solid object, unlike a Locus Grenades static timer.
If you cook a Flux Grenade it has the same 6 second timer that the Locus grenades have but you don't really need to use it because of the 2 second impact timer.
There is currently a glitch, or more appropriately a bug since it's not something that can be exploited, where if the Grenade detonates close enough to a player who is in mid air after detonation, the grenades impact damage (which is usually nothing) will kill the player.
Keep the faith.

+1 to this
Also speaking of Flux guys in L.O.T.I.S. D says they can be used to wipe deployed assets such as Uplinks, Nanohives, etc (not to mention he's a beast with his AR + Flux combo)
