Also, I saw some highest skirmish kill counts being thrown out.. Mine is 66, James' is 74, and PiercingSerenity's is 75. We're all assaults  |

You guys probably trump the imperfect hate i get. Guess I've just run into all the forum warriors and trolls, shame they are the representation I've got of your whole corporation.
I've definitely called you a noob before, but it doesn't mean I look down on you :) I don't know about the forum warrior part, but the impression that we are all trolls is pretty accurate. Faaabulous trolls. Seeing Vanda express his hatred for our corp name alone makes me feel all giddy inside.
But on the topic of AFKing, I don't enjoy redlining for 20 minutes. I can AFK farm my cap while doing something else, and then play Ambush if I want to get some DUST in. If my squad likes to play Skirmish instead, then I just fly a dropship around for 20 minutes because it takes like 15 skirmishes to get a match that will be a good fight. At least when the enemy team can't put up a fight in Ambush, it just means the game ends quicker. In Skirmish, you're forced to sit through a boring 20 minute redline for 1000-3000 more skillpoints than you would have gotten if you were just AFK instead. Pubmatches just mean so little to me, and I assume every other AFK farmer. That being said, I don't like genuinely ruining someone's gaming experience, so I'll try to stop AFK farming.
I think there are a couple of things that could improve the situation overall and lead to less AFK farming though, like better matchmaking for more interesting battles, higher reward for performing well while not leaving behind those who don't do so hot, and of course more content. One of the biggest arguments for AFK farming is people are -bored- with the game, but need SP. I hope you can understand the need SP part(maxing builds, being ready for PC, etc), like I try to understand the need to go so hard on pubmatches. I don't think we need a solution to AFK farming, but a solution to why people AFK farm. |

I AFK farm because I don't care either way about pubmatches and I can go play another more enjoyable game while getting SP, but I think the amount of hate it's getting should at least be acknowledged. The threads are started by a very vocal and whiny few, but there's always some random guy who pops in who also hates AFK farmers |
