Their dropships, transporting troops is their job not close air support. We should be getting fighters and gunships some time post release. and if you're getting 2 hitted by militia swarms you're either using militia dropships which have all the resistance to AV of a sponge to water, or you are fitting them so very wrong you clearly need help. |

Gunships two seater= yes, only way I can see them working effectively. Fighters two seaters= no would work terribly, aircraft would be moving much two fast for the pair to properly coordinate, especially if your not with a dedicated co-pilot your used to pairing up with |

While I agree the militia dropships aren't ideal, I have fit them with some basic (non-militia) gear and had decent results in the 10-12K HP range. My last dropship was able to take about 6 swarm launcher shots before dying. I think you've got the wrong vehicle there... |

Not really a downfall if you don't have him there but it is a slight advantage if he is there maybe but a guy in your backseat sightseeing is a guy who could be on the ground capping objectives or taking out enemy AV, I just don't really see a need for them to be two seater. I mean how hard would it be for them to mount a camera on the back and sides of the jet so the pilot can scan around him as he needs too. |
