If you have under 2 million skill points then you should go into a different section then the players above 2 million.
Maybe it can be called the Merc training grounds. Exact replicas of the already made maps would be what you play on.
It can be a place for new players to get to know how to play and also learning the maps. |

Too complicated for the matchmaking service.
Step 1. Set Voice chat default on and PTT default off.
Step 2. Until players hit the max cap of skillpoints ( day 1 beta till present) players never reach their soft cap and continue to catch up the mercs ahead of them.
Step 3. Price evaluation. The suits you destroy are equivalent to the isk you gain. Salvage works by killing a ceryain amount of isk of an item per match. Players can only get higher level gear from salvage.
Step 4. Corp matches for skill points. |

I already said awhile back we need to have a filter system so new players don't get thrown in waaay over their heads, my suggestion was meta level caps or requirments but an SP based filter sounds more effective and fair. |

Step1. Cost...CCP contracts out the voice servers and this is a free to play....
Step 2. Might as well just say remove skill cap completely...this will just continue to increase the divide between old/new and hardcore/casual players.
Step 3. This would exclude logistics and pilot roles and thus a deal breaker.
Step 4. EXPLOITABLE...I'll say this again...EXPLOITABLE... |

Best way to learn is to get thrown into the fray....lucky we got spawns.
Its not like new players loose much from dying....fits are cheap!
That being said 3 Militia fits killing a 700,000 isk fit using a balac or something is diffidently worth the 20 deaths it took to do it.
Your trying to add segregation and "a leveling" playing field into what is considered the HARSHEST and CRUELEST Sci-Fi franchise out there...
So I mean...thats what makes us all love it, right?
well I got to say it it hasnt been said in a good ten minutes..

Unfortunately this is a twitch action game and not point and click...ive seem old players play like shite and new players do amazing ordeals.
This would NOT level the playing field
Some people max out AR from day 1, others got SP spread around like seeds on a farm.
All you'd do is let the actual "good" low SP guys completely dominate the idkwtfimdoing newberries whilst having a division in the higher-end SP range where some people at 6mil SP have proto everything in their fit and others experimented...
That, and more time taken from the DEVs that IMO needs to go into other areas right now. |

it's a big magnet for people to create alts which will still pubstomp the noobs regauradless of SP levels. wont solve anything. the noobs will still die because they don't spend their SP right, or will still not even bother to refit their defaults..
the vet alts who know what there doing or the newbs who've been instructed on fits by the vets won't be filtered out vs the masses of default fittings.
maybe in the highest of high sec make a default fitting only match... but even then they'll still be crying that they're being pubstomped.. alot of the cry about that is just from players looking for an excuse to why they're not good at FPS |

Ill make an alt, put ALLL skill points in weaponry, dmg mod and 1-shot every newberry in existance.
Furthermore due to passive skill points, unless players actually work their ASS OFF, your stuck in this bracket of "im only fighting these 1000 people cuz were all born on this day".... |

I dont agree to sgregate the newbs. yes it is hard to start but the fact of beeing in a match with crazy advanced tanks and ship and players with me I love it. it's important that they blend in and work sholder to sholder with the veterans |

I don't think segregation would work at all. I have just under 1mil SP, and I have killed people in proto gear. This is with an GEK-38 AR, against people with Duvolles. |

half the skill is knowing when to engage and when to disengage. hit and run or stay and fight, prioritizing targets is huge in this game, if you transfix on the wrong target you die. no SP bracket will help them in this |

Haha, what?
A new player rocking a militia gear against a proto suit/duvolle combo, no matter how good he is, is going to fail miserably. Separating these players would absolutely level the playing field.
This isn't BF3 or whatever where everyone has the same health and all of the weapons are pretty well balanced. Putting the weaker gear vs. weaker gear makes the most sense in the world. |

It's not segregation, all the mercs have to start somewhere and it will be easier for new players to learn and enjoy the game playing with those of equal or less SP than people like me who have 4.6 Million. Everybody will eventually be able to play with everybody if they continue to play the game.
Do you put a lightweight champion in a bout against a Heavyweight that hasn't even won a championship? No because guaranteed that Heavyweight will win. |

Technically it is segregation. The separation of two groups of being based on a particular trait, in this case, SP.
Anyway. I digress. There's a saying in EVE Online. Adapt or die. As a newberry, there are a multitude of things you need to learn. The best way is to learn against tougher opponents. For example, when just starting out, I might have half-expected to take on a couple of players solo. Like you can in, say, Halo. But then you run into two heavies with HMGs and die a horrible death.
So you learn, don't run into heavies at short range. Then you learn don't run into a group of enemies solo. And so on, and so forth. It's not like you can get good overnight. You wouldn't learn these strategies when you're playing against other newberries, you have to learn on the go. Yes, it's hard, but it makes you a better player at the end of it all. |

I run a militia BPO fit raven suit with an exile and toxin when im not tanking and ive taken out proto dV users.
You need to stop thinking this game is 1v1 and learn that any player that knows his place on the battlefield can be lethal if he does the right action at the right oppertune time...GEK or not |
